Attributes

Mewostic's playstyle completely depends on which costume is used, be it male or female. As such, Mewostic is practically two semi-clones (of each other) in one.

Moveset

Espeon Name Damage Description
Neutral attack 2% Espeon takes a step forward and bites, then turns around to kick, then starts slapping the opponent with its tail. Finisher is a stronger tail slap.
2.5%
0.6% (loop), 3% (final hit)
Forward tilt 10.5% (close), 7.5% (tip) Espeon swings its tail in front of it. Has somewhat punishable endlag if shielded or sidestepped.
Up tilt 5% Like Pikachu's, but slightly slower on startup to compensate for its increased range.
Down tilt Sand Attack 5.1% (close), 3.5% (tip), 1.3% (rocks) Espeon sweeps its tail across the ground in front of it. A good combo starter at the close hit, good for spacing at the tip. Launches 2 small rock projectiles out diagonally upward starting from the tip of the tail, which disappear after travelling a distance approximately the length of Espeon's body.
Dash attack Tackle 10.5% (clean), 6.5% (late) Espeon pounces forward. Gives a slight momentum boost.
Forward smash Psybeam 11% (close), 9.4% (far) Shoots a colorful beam of light in a straight line in front of Espeon. Longer charge gives more range, but higher endlag.
Up smash 5% (hit 1), 1% (hits 2-7), 3% (hit 8) Like Sonic's.
Down smash 10% (front hit), 12% (back hit) Spins around, sweeping its tail across the ground on both sides. The front hit has knockback similar to that of Samus's in Melee.
Neutral aerial 9% (clean), 6% (late) Like Pikachu's, but slightly slower to compensate for its increased range.
Forward aerial 9.5% (leg), 13% (shadow) Scratches at a downward angle in front. Has shadowy energy emanating from the claws, giving more range. A reliable KO move at high enough percents when sweetspotted.
Back aerial 3% (hits 1-2), 4.3% (hit 3) Whips backward with its tail 3 times.
Up aerial 9% (early), 11% (late) Similar to Mewtwo's, but faster to compensate for reduced range. Has a meteor smash in the last 4 active frames.
Down aerial 1% (hits 1-5), 2% (hit 6) Faces diagonally downward and spins, hitting several times (like Kirby's, but with the head instead of feet). Last hit knocks opponents straight upward.
Grab Espeon grabs the opponent by biting them.
Pummel 2% Bites down on the opponent.
Forward throw 8% Like Duck Hunt's.
Back throw 9% Like Duck Hunt's.
Up throw 6% Like Duck Hunt's.
Down throw 7% Like Bowser's, but faster and deals less knockback.
Floor attack (front) 4% Espeon growls and uses psychic energy to push the opponent away as it gets up.
Floor attack (back) 6.4% Espeon extends its claws using psychic energy and scratches behind it.
Floor attack (trip) 5.2% Espeon spins into a ball and bounces before landing.
Edge attack 6.7% Espeon climbs up and extend its claws using psychic energy, swiping forward.
Neutral special Default Psyshock 3.2% (per rock hit) Charged projectile (can store charge). As Espeon is charging, glowing rocks start floating around Espeon, with more rocks at a higher charge (Maximum 8 rocks). When attacking, Espeon shoots out all of the charged rocks. Each rock knocks hit opponents a short distance away from Espeon.
Custom 1 Shadow Ball 2% (minimum charge), 27% (full charge) Deals more damage than Psyshock, but charges slower. Doesn't have multiple hits, and therefore doesn't trap opponents.
Custom 2 Signal Beam 4% (uncharged), 6% (charged) Paralyzes hit opponents, but charge can't be stored, and is not multi-hit.
Side special Default Swift 6% Shoots a star-shaped projectile of moderate speed that homes in on opponents. Slows down over time and disappears when it stops.
Custom 1 Echoed Voice 2.5% Doesn't home in on opponents, but is instead aimable. Can bounce off floors and walls until it disappears, and its damage doubles each time it bounces off of something.
Custom 2 Swagger 2% The projectile dazes grounded opponents, but deals very little knockback to aerial opponents.
Up special Default Zen Headbutt 9% Espeon jumps up, launching those it hits.
Custom 1 Take Down 16% Deals much more damage than Zen Headbutt, but gives 8% recoil damage.
Custom 2 Quick Attack 3% Deals very little damage and knockback. Goes faster and farther than Zen Headbutt.
Down special Default Confusion 8% Espeon turns its head (based on its attack animation from Pokémon Colosseum), creating an energy wave in front of it. Reflects projectiles at 1.3x damage. Can grab opponents, and when it does, it pushes the grabbed opponent away from Espeon. Gives a very slight upward boost.
Custom 1 Magic Bounce 0% Reflected projectiles deal 1.6x damage (up from the 1.3x damage of Confusion), but can no longer grab opponents.
Custom 2 Protect 12.5% Grab deals more damage and knockback, but it destroys projectiles instead of reflecting.
Final Smash Snag Ball 6% (grab), 7% (capture), 9% (shakes 1-3), 10% (capture fail), 15% (capture success) Espeon grabs the opponent. If successful, the camera will show a closeup of Wes throwing a Snag Ball (animation based on his animation in Colosseum) at the opponent. Once captured, the ball will shake a varying number of times out of 1-3, then will either release the opponent, or will catch the opponent, with the capture success tune playing after, and then it launches the opponent. Knockback varies depending on the outcome, a successful capture will give more knockback than a failed capture.

2%
0.8% (loop), 5% (final hit)
Forward tilt Scratch 4% Umbreon does a quick claw swipe.
Up tilt 5% Umbreon swipes its tail upwards. Fast upon startup and ending, making it a good combo starter.

Dash attack Tackle 10.5% (clean), 6.5% (late) Functions like Espeon's, except with slightly more startup lag.
Forward smash Headbutt 10% Umbreon lunges forward, hitting its head against any close opponents. Has small ending lag.
Up smash 3% (hits 1-3), 5% (hit 4) Umbreon gets on its back and swipes upward with its claws four times. Has small ending lag.
Down smash 12% (front), 9% (back) Umbreon chases its tail in circles. Anyone hit in the front gets knocked forwards, and anyone hit in the back gets knocked upwards.
Neutral aerial 9% (clean), 6% (late) Like Pikachu's, but slightly slower to compensate for its increased range.
Forward aerial 3% (hits 1-3) Umbreon lunges forward and opens its mouth, causing pulses of dark energy to come out of it.
Back aerial 4% (hits 1-2), 5.3% (hit 3) Whips backward with its tail 3 times.
Up aerial 10.4% Umbreon looks upward and shouts, releasing a large pulse of dark energy. Has small landing lag.
Down aerial 11.2% Umbreon looks downward and shouts, releasing a large pulse of dark energy. Has small landing lag. This attack meteor smashes opponents directly underneath it.
Grab Umbreon bites the opponent.

Forward throw 9% Like Duck Hunt's.
Back throw Shadow Ball 9% Umbreon throws the opponent behind it in the air and spits out multiple small Shadow Balls.

Custom 1 Crunch 7% (bite capture), 6% (bite pummel) Stronger than Bite, but opponents can break free easier.
Custom 2 Snarl 2.6% (bite capture), 2.9% (bite pummel) Weaker than Bite, but it's harder for opponents to break free.
Side special Default Cut 7.8% Umbreon swipes forward, dashing a bit, with some small startup lag.
Custom 1 Secret Power 9% Umbreon swipes forward, dashing a bit, but the attack is slightly faster and it has a random effect to it (i.e. Fire, Ice, Electric, etc.)
Custom 2 Sucker Punch 12% Umbreon swipes forward, making a smaller amount of distance and is slower, but does more damage.
Up special Default Feint Attack 7% (head), 5% (tail) Umbreon lunges upward, headbutting anyone in front of it. Umbreon swings its tail as well, hitting anyone behind it at the time.
Custom 1 Giga Impact 10% Does more damage than Feint Attack, but Umbreon doesn't attack with its tail.

Custom 2 Retaliate 1.3x (minimum 5%) Umbreon doesn't hold its stance as long, but the counterattack is stronger. Has high ending lag.
Final Smash Snag Ball 6% (grab), 7% (capture), 9% (shakes 1-3), 10% (capture fail), 15% (capture success) Umbreon grabs the opponent. Idle Poses

Espeon

  • Espeon yawns.
  • Espeon grooms itself.

Umbreon

  • Gets in a pouncing stance with the circles on its body glowing, similarly to its up taunt.
  • Umbreon looks at its tail and wags it, then shows its teeth, as if growling at it.

Crowd cheer

Espeon

Es - pe - on!

Umbreon

Um - bre - on!

Victory Fanfare

A remixed version of the Pokémon Colosseum title screen theme, slightly sped up and done with guitars instead. Lasts 7 seconds.

Victory Poses

Note: All victory poses have both Espeon and Umbreon present.

  • Wes throws a Poké Ball up in the air and catches it, Rui standing beside him, and says "Another battle well fought." Espeon and Umbreon are both looking at the camera in a pouncing stance.
  • Wes kneels down, petting both Espeon and Umbreon, with them cooing happily, and says "Well done you guys!"
  • Wes and his Pokémon stand beside his motorcycle and says "Sure beats fighting Shadow Pokémon, huh?", before they jump on and drive away.

Trophies

Wes
A loner, Wes used to work for Team Snagem, a criminal organization determined to steal Pokémon from all over Orre. For reasons unknown, Wes decided to leave behind his life of crime. He stole a special device they had known as a Snag Machine and left, but not before leaving behind a bomb for Team Snagem. He traveled to Phenac City and met Rui, leading him to a new threat: Cipher. Their plan was to steal Pokémon and close the door to their hearts, turning them into deadly versions known as Shadow Pokémon, and sold them to people for profit. Wes traveled around Orre, using the Snag Machine to steal the Pokémon back, with the help of his longtime partners and friends Espeon and Umbreon, and purified them, reopening the doors to their hearts.

Espeon
The Sun Pokémon. Espeon is extremely loyal to any trainer it considers to be worthy. It is said that this Pokémon developed its precognitive powers to protect its trainer from harm. Its fur is so sensitive, it can sense minute shifts in the air and predict the weather. It is one of the many evolved forms of Eevee.

Umbreon
The Moonlight Pokémon. Umbreon evolved as a result of exposure to the moon's waves. It hides silently in darkness and waits for its foes to make a move. The rings on its body glow when it leaps to attack. It is one of the many evolved forms of Eevee.

Espeon (Alt.)
Espeon and Umbreon are kind of a Yin-Yang combo. Espeon likes to keep opponents at a distance, and with moves like Psyshock and Swift, it can do just that. Psyshock is a charged projectile that shoots out multiple small rocks, and Swift is a move that likes to follow opponents. It also has Confusion, which works very much like Mewtwo's Confusion. With all of these moves, opponents will have to be careful, otherwise they could be in for a hard time meeting Espeon face-to-face.

Umbreon (Alt.)
Espeon and Umbreon are kind of a Yin-Yang combo. Umbreon likes to charge at opponents and rack up damage. Its move Bite works similarly to Bowser's Koopa Klaw in Melee. Umbreon grabs the opponent and bites them repeatedly, being able to top it off with a throw. Additionally, it has the move Payback, which allows it to block and counter any moves used against it if used right! With all of these moves, opponents will have to fight from a distance, otherwise Umbreon will ruin their day.

Snag Ball
Wait, Mario's a Pokémon?! That's right, when Wes activates his Final Smash, Espeon/Umbreon will grab the opponent and he will throw a Snag Ball (which is basically just a fancy name for Poké Ball), attempting to catch them. The amount of damage and knockback the opponent receives depends on how successful the capture is. This Final Smash truly feels like you're actually catching a Pokémon.....or Mario...depending on how you look at it.

Reveal Trailer

The trailer starts with an aerial shot over the Orre Colosseum, the cheers of the audience can be heard. It then goes to inside the Colosseum, showing Espeon launching backward from an attack, quickly regaining its balance. The camera then pans over to Wes looking at Espeon in worry, saying "Espeon!" and the splash screen appears. Espeon shakes off the damage, and gets back in its idle stance. Umbreon and Espeon are then shown side by side, and the opponent is then revealed to be Mewtwo, Mega Evolving into Mega Mewtwo Y. Wes points at Mewtwo and tells Umbreon and Espeon that they can beat it. It then goes to gameplay of Wes, playing the Cipher Peon Battle theme.
