Shoryuken (昇龍拳, Rising Dragon Fist) is Ryu's up special in Super Smash Bros. 4. Ryu attacks using a powerful uppercut; he can also use this move to recover. The move's strength depends on how long the special button is held. Additionally, it can K.O. the opponent at higher percentage.
Origin
The Shoryuken is one of Ryu and Ken's signature moves in the Street Fighter series. It is a rising uppercut, involving the user jumping off the floor with a fist raised and a full body spin. Ryu's Shoryuken hits only once, and knocks the opponent down.
