Bandai Namco Games Inc. (株式会社バンダイナムコゲームス, Bandai Namco Games Inc.), formerly named Namco Bandai Games Inc., stylized as "BANDAI NAMCO Games Inc.", is an arcade, mobile and home video game developer and publisher based in Japan. It is a merge between the video game divisions of Bandai and Namco.
During the Nintendo Direct Broadcast on June 21, 2012, it was revealed that Bandai Namco will be the head developer for Super Smash Bros. 4, along with Sora Ltd.. Several items from some of Namco's games such as Galaga and Rally-X will appear in Super Smash Bros. 4.[1]
In Super Smash Bros. 4
Galagan Bugs, a type of enemy in Namco's Galaga series, as well the Special Flag, a collectable from numerous Namco games, appear in Super Smash Bros. 4. While the Special Flag's function is currently unknown, the Galagan Bugs are a move of Pac-Man's, from the Pac-Man series, who has been confirmed to be a playable fighter.
