The SLAPAYO is a glitch was discovered on May 4, 2008 by SLAPAHO crew member Ax. The glitch was discovered with Ax playing against fellow SLAPAHO crewmate Foghorn on Green Greens, where a sandbag appeared which Ax repeatedly up smashed, resulting in the drop of a Deku Nut and a subsequent flash of mystery. This is the second glitch discovered by the crew, the other being the SLAPASTICK.

The details of the glitch are still uncertain, and there are many questions after reviewing the video. The SLAPAHO crew is currently running tests to discover how the glitch works and what it does. Unfortunately, in their haste to have video evidence of the glitch, the crew quickly ended the match with little experience of the glitch itself so the replay could be saved.

What is known is that it involves the use of a Deku Nut in proximity with Ness' yo-yo, and causes the yo-yo to fail in retraction, effectively leaving the yo-yo limp at Ness' side. Since the match was so swiftly ended, and memory is unclear of the exact moves preformed, it is unclear as to whether the yo-yo retains its hitbox, but the strange hypothesis is that it retains its hitbox toward certain damageable things. This is believed because Ax, as Ness, jumped into the falling blocks which proceeded to be broken but failed to injure the opposing Captain Falcon.

Video evidence will be added shortly, and more research will be conducted to discover all facets of the glitch.
