Tournament summary[edit]

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate[edit]

Despite the tournament inviting top Japanese players as guests, the tournament size and depth for the Ultimate singles event was noticeably smaller than its previous iteration: M4E was the only European top 10 player that was present at the event (Space had also signed up but did not attend), while most of France's best players were also absent. This was due to a schedule conflict with supermajor Super Smash Con 2023, which featured several top European players such as Sisqui, Raflow, and Tarik; Glutonny's trip in Mexico due to Smash Factor X and Delfino Maza 2023; and a boycott against tournament organizer NtK. In addition, some controversy arose when the organizers announced Luugi's participation, which Luugi clarified he never confirmed.

The most notable upset of the event took place in top 64, where #3 seed Asimo was upset by #19 seed Réhann 3-1 (upset factor 6). However, Asimo saw a strong Loser's run, defeating both Paseriman 3-0 and Tea 3-2 to make it into Grand Finals. Ultimately, Kameme defeated Asimo 3-0, winning the tournament. Aside from Asimo, #6 seed M4E was upset by #38 seed Susu 3-0 and #37 seed Bear 3-2 (both upset factors 6) to place 17th, the only top 8 seed who attended the tournament but did not make it into top 8.
