Puppeh is a Super Smash Bros. UltimatePokémon Trainer player from Virginia Beach, Virginia and is Squerk's younger brother. Puppeh places well and often wins tournaments around Southern Virginia, and has done so from a very young age, across multiple Smash installments including Ultimate, Smash 4, Melee, and Project M. Puppeh is nowadays considered as one of the best Pokémon Trainer players in the world, along with Tweek, Pandarian, Ned, and Leffen. His breakout performance came at CEO 2019, where he took sets off Nairo, Abadango, ESAM, and Samsora to ultimately place 5th. He also has wins on players such as WaDi, Suarez, Daybreak, NAKAT, and Darkshad. He is currently the highest ranking player on the Southern Virginia Power Rankings and 5th on the MD/VA Ultimate Power Rankings. He was also ranked 28th on the Spring 2019 PGRU.
In Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, he was a Sheik player with wins on players such as WaDi 6WX, RAIN, Seagull Joe, Mekos, Craftis, and True Blue. He was formerly ranked 14th on the MD/VA Smash 4 Power Rankings. His performance in Smash 4 led to him being sponsored by That Game Store on January 18th 2016, but he left them shortly after to join Arcane eSports, who ceased operating June 13th of the same year.
On August 13th 2016, Seven Seas announced that they had signed Puppeh to represent them in SSB4 alongside saj at some point, Puppeh would leave Seven Seas. On August 19th, 2019, Puppeh would join team ZENMA, along with Pandarian. Lss than two weeks later, on August 30th, 2019, Puppeh, along with many of the other smashers signed by team ZENMA, announced that he was leaving the organization due to controversies with its CEO, false[1].
In SSB4, he was known for his aggressive and reckless play style, which often resulted in him easily gaining stage control over his opponent. One example of this was that he used forward throw into up smash, rather than forward throw into Bouncing Fish.
Controversy
In July 2020, he accused Cinnpie of sexually assaulting him. However, it is suspected that Puppeh has been repeatedly harassing Cinnpie, and that the allegations are false. [2] Close friends of Puppeh who preferred to remain anonymous gave interviews to the media, claiming that Puppeh "...had recently embraced incel ideology" and had a "profound hatred for women". [3] The event is still under investigation.
