Changes[edit]

I think the character should be put right next to the player name, and the Previous Rank and Change should have an option to be omitted if there's nothing there. Awesome Cardinal 2000 11:49, 11 November 2013 (EST)

If previous rank isn't applicable, there should probably be a way to leave it out. Scr7Scr7 sig.png(talk · contribs) 11:57, 11 November 2013 (EST)
The parameter order was set so that the input of most variable length (character) would be at the end, so that spacing could be used to fake the appearance of a table in the text window for easier editing. The problem is MediaWiki doesn't seem to be able to recognize the difference between "blank" and "not given" if the parameters are unnamed; hence using a dash instead of a blank for previous rank had to be done. So, in order to be able to either input a blank or input nothing for previous rank, we'd have to either name the parameters (can be done, would ruin current usages) or put previous rank at the end (more difficult to see when editing). I think it would be worth it to change it and then fix all the existing ones. Awesome Cardinal 2000 14:35, 11 November 2013 (EST)

This template should also be changed so that when "Not ranked" is typed for previous rank, the change column displays as "N/A". Awesome Cardinal 2000 16:27, 12 November 2013 (EST)

Is it not intuitive that a dash indicates "not ranked"? Toomai Glittershine ??? The Different 16:53, 12 November 2013 (EST)
It could mean that it's incomplete information or something, which I first thought it was. Awesome Cardinal 2000 19:17, 12 November 2013 (EST)

Country[edit]

Currently, the template doesn't support country information. Not sure if it's going to be used on any more pages than the European Melee Power Rankings, though. Doesn't even have to be countries, could just be regions in general, even. – Smiddle 03:18, 14 October 2015 (EDT)

Broken[edit]

This template is broken (won't show players' names). I don't know how to fix it, but I figure I should probably put something here? kenniky SMASHROSTERSMALL.png 17:36, 23 July 2018 (EDT)

Seems functional to me? TheNuttyOne 17:48, 23 July 2018 (EDT)
figured it out... Adblock screwed some stuff up LOL kenniky SMASHROSTERSMALL.png 12:03, 27 July 2018 (EDT)

Homonymous players[edit]

How does this template handle homonymous players? I just ran in this issue when updating the Italian Power Rankings page, since the new season has a ranked player named Kuro, which is obviously not the PGR one.--Rdrfc (talk) 06:48, January 28, 2020 (EST)

Do |location=Italy right after the characters. CookiesCnC Signature.pngCreme 07:16, January 28, 2020 (EST)
