Lucario (ルカリオ, Lucario) is a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. It was confirmed as a playable character on June 12th, 2018.
Changes from Super Smash Bros. 4
Aesthetics
As with all veterans returning from SSB4, Lucario's model features a more subdued color scheme. Its fur is more detailed, similar to Brawl. Its model and textures otherwise appear unchanged.- The visual effects of Lucario's Aura are much smoother, and are now cyan in color instead of indigo.
- Aura Sphere now has an "energy absorption" visual effect when charging, though it is unknown if this will add gameplay changes. It also now resembles the move as it appeared in Pokemon Battle Revolution and the 3DS Pokemon games, and no longer emits a trail of smoke when thrown.
Aerial Attacks
- Up Aerial has an altered animation, with Lucario backflipping following the initial kick.
Special moves
Double Team's counterattack activates faster.
