Splat Bomb (スプラッシュボム, Splash Bomb) is Inkling's down special move.
Overview
Upon use, Inkling hurls a triangular bomb upwards that explodes after a set amount of time. If the input is held, Inkling will hurl the bomb at more of a forward angle, with more distance.
Origin
Splat Bombs are a subweapon within Splatoon and Splatoon 2. The player can use it at any point with one of the trigger buttons. Splat Bombs (and other subweapons) use up a set amount of ink. However, located on the Inklings' ink tanks is an arrow that determines at what point they can no longer use their subweapon (as they no longer have the suffice amount of ink to do so); this arrow carries over into Smash Bros., as it can be seen on their ink meter.
