Darktooth is a Melee player from Long Island, New York, and mains Fox in Melee and Project M. He is best known for coining and discovering shine mines, a technique usable by Fox and Falco in Melee. He is currently ranked 10th on the NYC Metropolitan Area Melee Power Rankings, and 1st on the Long Island Melee Power Rankings. Considered to be the top Long Island Melee player rarely dropping tournaments in region, he finally had the chance to travel in the summer of 2017, and he quickly racked up wins over Cactuar, Junebug, and Lovage at various majors, in addition to wins over Hax$, Captain Smuckers, Slox, Jerry, and JFlex at regionals/large locals, among many others.
