—Introduction tagline

Heihachi Mishima (三島 平八) is a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Unshō Ishizuka's archival recordings from Tekken Tag Tournament 2, Playstation All-Stars: Battle Royale and Tekken 7 were repurposed in this game due to his passing in 2018.

AttributesEdit

Heihachi is a middle-heavyweight character that is similar to Little Mac, very strong on the ground, but lacks air combat.

MovesetEdit

  • In one-on-one matches, Heihachi always faces his opponent.
  • He has multiple inputs attached to it, or example, he can cancel his Forward Tilt with either Up or Down Tilt, giving him a move variation.
  • Heihachi has a sidestep and backstep mechanic by double-tapping the control stick when close to his opponent, but he can still run when he is far away, as such, he has a sidestep and backstep attack.
  • A staple of Namco's fighting games, he has a Down + Forward Attack, similar to Terry's simplifield command inputs for his Super Special Moves.
  • If he is at 100% of damage, or 30% less of HP in Stamina Battle, he will have the Rage Mode activated, which makes him grow a red aura and increases the damage of his moves.
  • He has a fixed jump arc, meaning that his air friction is locked at 0.

Special movesEdit

Special move Name Description Damage
Standard special move Demon Breath/Rage Drive Heihachi strikes his opponent with two open palms extremely quickly; deals low damage and has bad range, but is very fast and has good knockback, and he can cancel most of his other attacks into it (such as his jab), making it an excellent combo finisher. If he presses the shield button before he attacks, he can cancel it with the special move. In Rage mode, the move is replaced with a Rage Drive, where he will do a right handed backfist and quickly headbutts the opponent. During the move, he gains Super Armor and deals huge damage. There's one drawback though, after using the move, he will no longer glow red, ending Rage mode, meaning it is one use per stock. 6% (Demon Breath), 5% (first), 30% (second)
Side special move Hell Axle Heihachi leaps in the air and delivers a side kick with a long distance, which leaves him helpless in the air. If the button is pressed again, he will do a second kick. It deals a decent amount of knockback. 10% (first kick), 6% (second kick)
Up special move Dragon Uppercut Like Ryu's Shoryuken, Heihachi delivers an uppercut, launching him upwards in mid-air; compared to Shoryuken, this would travel more horizontal distance, but less vertical height. Ironically, the move deals more damage in the air then on the ground. 10% (ground), 18% (air)
Down special move Mist Step Heihachi will simply dash forward along the ground or in the air. This move serves not only to extend combos, but also serves as an alternative recovery. It can be executed in many ways, leading into four follow-up moves:
  • Wind God Fist (B) - Heihachi will simply do a quick right uppercut covered in electricity. It is used for juggling opponents.
  • Jumping Side Kick (Side B) - A jumping forward kick that deal alot of knockback, but has a long ending lag after performing it.
  • Spinning Demon (Down B) - Performs three moving spinning sweep kicks. It can be cancelled into other moves.
  • Spinning Demon Uppercut (Up B) - Performs a spinning sweep kick and quickly does a jumping uppercut.
11% Wind God Fist), 16% (Jumping Side Kick), 5% (per hit, Spinning Demon), 5% (sweep, Spinning Demon Uppercut), 15% (uppercut, Spinning Demon Uppercut)
Down + Forward Special Jichinsai Heihachi does a powerful axe kick in a arching motion, knocking the opponent down. It deals huge shield damage too. 16%
A and B attack Heaven's Wrath Heihachi will assume a tai-chi-like pose. If Heihachi is attacked, he will stop it with a blow and kicks away the opponent. During the counterattack, he gets 20% of damage to himself though, so be careful about it. The kick deals heavy knockback. 12.3%
Final Smash Rage Art/Rockets Away! Much like Ryu and Ken, he has two final smashes, this time it works in a different way. If is used during a one-on-one fight, Heihachi will do a stomp pose that stuns the opponent with a flash before delivering a stomach punch. During this, he will do Twin Pistons, where he performs two uppercuts on the right and left, launching his opponent in the air, he then does a long wind pose while covered in electricity before finishing it off with a Demon Breath. This move can KO any opponent at 80% or less. If is used during a match with two or three opponents, he will perform a rushing Rising Uppercut at them, triggering a cutscene of the opponents tied to a large rocket ship before it launches into the orbit, then it suddenly explodes into pieces. Heihachi is seen watching through binoculars and lets out a maniacal laugh. Anyone who is above 100% of damage will be instantly KO'd. This is a callback to his iconic Arcade ending in Tekken 5. 55% (Rage Art), 30% (Rockets Away!)
