Deletion?Edit

Not voting either way, as I'm not entirely comfortable with where exactly our line on notability is with tournies. But I want to give the tournament some context for when people decide.

As best I can tell the reasons to delete this tourney would be it's scale and the number of notable players. Both of those are legitimate reasons in my book.

Regarding the scale, it is small but it appears to be the most notable tourney series in the prefecture. Chubu as a region has much more significant series, but it's important to remember that Chubu is actually a very large region for Japan. This prefecture had a population of just under 3.7 million which puts on par with the Shikoku region in population (around 3.8 million).

This is important both because it tells us about this prefectures scene but also because it is possible the players in this region don't travel and so it makes it hard for us to know who are the notable players in the region if only looking at the rest of Japan.

Looking at the players here. Neon is obviously a notable player with fairly significant accomplishments. Also one that travels on occasion.

As best I can tell we know nothing about Moinamin other than they beat Nibutani and Neon at this tourney.

Nibutani is that journeyman kind of player who tends to struggle at nationals but pops off at random regionals. Without looking too closely they have wins on players like Monacoin Otaku, Paru, Karupis, Rizeo, and Kaidedede.

DYN is the other name I recognize from some weeklies and a few decent regional that are linked here. Also got a win on Kirbis at Sumabato SP 22. I believe their a newer player. The rest of the group I couldn't find any info on them out of prefecture. Wiifitkid (talk) 11:10, March 7, 2022 (EST)

NUMASUMA 3 is also a smaller tournament.

We understand the deletion of pages to improve the accuracy of player information.

Nibutani, Moinamin, and DYN are the most notable players recently. The tournament is also getting a lot of attention and we want to keep track of it.

We believe that by keeping records, it will make it easier for high profile players to participate in the tournament. I believe it will help to boost Smash Bros SP in Japan. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ochawo (talkcontribs) 03:08, March 8, 2022 (EST)
