- As a nod to French high-level Melee Samus player Touffe, and as a way to further commit to the tournament's Samus-centric theming, the Melee Top 32 and Top 8 brackets were renamed to Touffe 32 and Touffe 8.
- Touffe would go on to place 9th in the Melee event.
- The tournament was held during a harsh heatwave, with temperatures reaching as high as 38°C (~100°F).
