Metagame isn't the peak of competitive play. Metagame refers to everything about the game that's outside of a specific match such as trends in character selection etc. Things about the game that don't directly influence a match. Read the wikipedia article on the subject. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metagame Usea 02:52, January 23, 2007 (GMT)
For some reason, the widely accepted definition of "metagame" as it applies to Smash (and other fighting games? verify) is completely different from any other definition of the word. Whether this is linguistically sound is up for debate, but the definition in the article is correct. --Ycz12 23:01, November 4, 2007 (EST)
Cleanup?Edit
The explanation of Tactics X,Y, and Z makes perfect sense to me. I don't see why it should be cleaned up at all. -- Umbee (talk) 10:25, 12 September 2008 (UTC)
Examples SectionEdit
So from where I come from, you don't list 6+ friggin' demonstrations when you want to show an example for a topic. If the section's going to become that bloated, it'd be better to create a general metagame evolution page, which is redundant because the character pages should have these meta evolutions on their own page.
