Expanding the tableEdit
I feel like we should discuss the base stats, powerups, extra forms, fights to unlock, and the like of each spirit, and not just their type and classification. Could we expand the table to use this information? Nyargleblargle (Contribs) 12:36, 2 November 2018 (EDT)
- Done. The table has been expanded to include numerous extra stats, and have been separated into primary and support spirits. I feel like this page should be a good standard/starting point in terms of what the spirit list pages should look like, but of course, feel free to make changes as you see fit. Moving Augmented Fighter Stats to another page?Edit
After much consideration, it's been clear that some spirits can be collected without needing to fight them. With that in mind, should these stats move to another page? I'd love to hear people's thoughts on the matter. BrawlersintheZone (talk) 12:00, 5 November 2018 (EST)
- Maybe convert it into "Unlock method" and "Notes" sections? Nyargleblargle (Contribs) 12:01, 5 November 2018 (EST)
- But should a new set of pages be created then for explaining the augmented fighter stats for each spirit? Or would that just be taken out altogether? BrawlersintheZone (talk) 12:06, 5 November 2018 (EST)
- We could split it into another set of pages focusing on the battles for World of Light and for regular spirit battles or we could include it in the aforementioned Notes section. I think the former would be easier, but either solution is feasible IMO. Nyargleblargle (Contribs) 12:29, 5 November 2018 (EST)
- Yeah, the former would definitely be easier and would probably be more useful and clean compared to trying to cram it into Notes. BrawlersintheZone (talk) 13:43, 5 November 2018 (EST)
- Page made! You can find the first page at List of Spirit Battles (Super Mario Bros. series). BrawlersintheZone (talk) 16:59, 7 November 2018 (EST)

Alright. I'll adjust the tables here to remove the battle info in the near future. Nyargleblargle (Contribs) 00:10, 11 November 2018 (EST)
Eggplant ManEdit
I saw AbdallahSmash026's video, which had a Spirit for Eggplant Man from Wrecking Crew. Should he go in this section or the "Others" section? CleffaGirl173 (talk) 14:31, 24 November 2018 (EST)
Shouldn't Kamek go under YoshiEdit
Yeah there has always been a fine line between Yoshi and Mario franchise-considering most of the characters originated from Mario games (unlike Wario where at least the characters are unique to Wario), one case being Kamek here-unlike characters like Shy Guy and Wiggler this guy originated in Yoshi's Island-so wouldn't he go under Yoshi (though he has been in a few of the RPG games). Collateralshrek (talk) 17:47, 25 November 2018 (EST)
- We only report on where it goes. We don't decide it. So if it's labeled as Mario in the game, we put it in as Mario. ZeldaStarfoxfan2164 (talk) is made in America 17:51, 25 November 2018 (EST)
- Okay Kamek was listed as a Yoshi character in previous Smash games-also didn't know they actually have already said where they go yet! Collateralshrek (talk) 17:52, 25 November 2018 (EST)
- This version of Kamek is the one from New Super Mario Bros, not the Yoshi's Island one, hence this spirit being part of the Super Mario series.81.254.247.115 13:43, 15 January 2019 (EST)

Music columnEdit
We should add a music column to specify what track plays in that spirit's battle. For example, all Rabbid spirit fights use "Arcade Bunny's Theme". GarfLarf 11:22, 7 February 2019 (EST)
Vivian's spirit battleEdit
I'm sorry, if I am overlooking and it may a sexist reference. As you see, worldwide translations of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door considered Vivian as a woman. However, in the Japanese version of the game, Vivian is a "transgender woman" who is "actually male". It may suggest gender confusion. Mr. Game & Watch is presumably genderless, could the fighter choice suggest this? It's pretty weird to think about it. --Derekblue1 (talk) 09:13, January 15, 2020 (EST)
- Mr. G&W is male (note the "Mr." honorific), and is consistently referred to with male pronouns in official media; there's no gender confusion to be suggested.
- Many other Spirits are represented by fighters with unmatching genders, so even if this point wasn't a stretch, it wouldn't be particularly notable. Nokii — 10:35, January 15, 2020 (EST)
- Vivian is monochromatic, hair, lips, and gloves aside. I'm pretty sure that why they used Mr G&W has her puppet fighter. YoshiRyu (talk) 11:07, January 15, 2020 (EST)
- That's fair enough. Thank you. I can’t believe I assumed Mr. Game & Watch's gender. --Derekblue1 (talk) 23:10, January 15, 2020 (EST)

PeachetteEdit
I'm going through a new save and I found Peachette. Does anyone have an idea on when she was put in the rotation? The patch notes, pop-ups, and @SmashBrosJP have no mention of her being added to the normal Spirit Board rotation. --CanvasK (talk) 16:55, May 7, 2020 (EDT)
