Mario Party has only featured Baby Bowser as playable, not Bowser himself. --ShadowZeroKaras 15:42, August 21, 2007 (EDT)
Actually, Koopa Kid was playable in the MP series, not Baby Bowser. But you're right -- Bowser was never a playable character. The Magnum Master 17:53, August 21, 2007 (EDT)

Relation of the "Koopa Kids/Koopalings"Edit
While this should common knowledge by now, it's apparently still not to many who have been referring to them as his offspring on this page. The Koopalings (formerly known as the "Koopa Kids") are not Bowser's offspring. This has been demonstrated in numerous ways throughout the years:
1.)By the very fact that one is named "Morton Jr."
2.)The cartoon series showed they were adopted
3.)The introduction of Bowser Jr.
4.)They were never specifically stated to to be his offspring
5.)The fact that they specifically changed the name to "Koopalings" to avoid confusion.
They are "Koopas" and kids-- not "Koopa's Kids". --Bman87301 16:34, 4 March 2008 (UTC)
- I'd like to see the citations. And "Jr." works for grandchildren too, doesn't it? Anyone that is alive and related during the same time, even if it skips a generation? Anyway those names were all puns anyway so you can hardly consider that the deciding factor. They even called Bowser "King Dad" in the tv show, and none of the games ever hinted they were adopted... And of course, Bowser Jr. needs no explanation. Gargomon251 18:24, 4 March 2008 (UTC)
None of the koopalings even look like him.
- I've personally never heard "junior" used for any other relative other than a son. Anyways I could have sworn I remembered an episode that said they were adopted but I can't find anything info on the Web about it so maybe I just dreamed it. Granted, growing up I always thought they were supposed to be his kids too, but nowadays it now it seems fairly clear that Nintendo's been specifically trying to suggest otherwise in recent years with their sudden name change to "Koopalings" and their new emphasis on Bowser Jr. Plus when you examine them and notice names like "Morton Jr." you kinda have reconsider their relationship, especially when they've never actually said they were his kids in any of the games. I suspect the original Japanese SMB3 development team did not intend for them to be Bowser's offspring when they designed them, but NOA interpreted them that way and marketed them as such in the cartoons etc. Maybe it's worth at least mentioning them on the page as possibly being his children, but their relationship definitely isn't certain. --Bman87301 23:37, 5 March 2008 (UTC)
- Stop bringing up Morton, I already explained him, he doesn't count. NAMES ARE IRRELEVANT, look it up on wikipedia. Gargomon251 04:40, 6 March 2008 (UTC)
- Okay, I may have confused you by the order I listed things in my first post. Morton's name isn't the main reasoning for the argument--it's how the Nintendo has been presenting things in recent years (like focusing exclusively on Bowser Jr. and changing their name to "Koopalings", thus removing "Kids" from the name). My point is we don't know whether or not the designers intended them to be his kids. You're right, Morton's name doesn't prove anything, but it certainly doesn't help the theory that he's a son either. Pun or not, it's still the name they chose. And if they did intend him to be his son there were plenty of other pun names they could have used-- that's the whole reason I mentioned his name. You need to stop focusing on the whole "Morton Jr." thing because if you don't you're just missing the point. BTW, I'd like to see an example of "junior" being used on a relative other than a son if you can find one.--Bman87301 16:24, 6 March 2008 (UTC)

I know i'm responding to a four year old argument but the reason his name is Morton Koopa Jr. is because he is named after Morton Downey Jr. All the Koopalings are named after someone famous. ChuckNorris 10:44, 11 July 2012 (EDT)
GlitchEdit
In Melee, i used to be a heavy player with Bowser, so heavy i neglected to attempt to unlock any other characters, somehow I ended up with the All-Star mode trophy of Bowser, but had yet to unlock all star mode, I am not sure how this happened, maybe either by reaching a certain amout of KOs with him, or possibly beating other single player modes under certain conditions. too lazy to write name or whatever —Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.205.171.192 (talk • contribs) 20:27, 20 April 2008 (UTC)
This is not a glitch! You have to play more then 300 matches with a character to earn their all-star trophies. Zmario (talk) 21:38, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
Mushroom Kingdom Residence?Edit
I noticed in a recent edit that Gargomon251 claims that Bowser never lived in the Mushroom Kingdom. If that's true then where is it that he does live? As far as I'm aware, none of the games have ever mentioned a name of another land that Bowser and his Koopa clan originated from. The only name ever used has been "Mushroom Kingdom". And his castle was located the Mushroom Kingdom in Super Mario Bros. 3. While Bowser's castle in may be located underground, it's still IN the Mushroom Kingdom so he did live there at least once. What I always gathered from the story was that the Koopas were at war the Toadstools because they were vying for power over the kingdom that both factions lived in. And since no other land was other mentioned, the MK is the only place established as being their home, so doesn't that establish it was their homeland? Does anyone else agree or disagree?--Bman87301 (talk) 15:36, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
- Well, let's see...in Super Mario RPG he lived in his Caslte way past Mushroom Way and Vista Point, in Mario World his castle was in Dinosaur Land, and in Mario & Luigi I'm pretty sure his castle was over the skies of Beanbean Kingdom...I'm not sure. I always assumed the "kingdom" wasn't a country per se, but a city, and that Bowser always lurked just outside his boundaries, somewhat like Ganondorf with the Hyrule/Hylia area. Then again, his castle has often been ignored in many games, leaving Bowser to some temporary base of operations such as in Sunshine and Galaxy....I would need some sort of canon to be sure exactly where he resides. - Gargomon251 (talk) 21:33, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
Bowser's shellEdit
in smash brothers bowser retreats into his shell like regular koopas do for some of his attacks,up special, down smash,my question is,has there ever actually been a game in wich bowser retreats into his shell,i cant remember, but it seems impossible considering bowsers shell isnt like a regular koopas, regular koopas can actually take their shells of or retreat into them but bowsers shell is attached to his back and cant be removed, and it doesnt actually have a front side like other koopa shells, his front is his actuall flesh not the underside of his shell,so how exactly can he retreat into only half a shell, has he ever done it in any actual mario game?~gig~

Should we talk about the fact Wedding Bowser is back in Mario Odyssey?Edit
I just think we could make a trivia fact that the Wedding Bowser trophy from Brawl is officially wrong due to Bowser seen in a texudo in Odyssey --81.218.171.51 06:09, 11 September 2018 (EDT)

Baby bowserEdit
Should we count Yoshis Crafted world as Bowser’s latest appearance because Baby bowser is in it and Baby bowser is bowser. MateNan (talk) 14:50, May 16, 2019 (EDT)
Bowser Moveset OverhaulEdit
While Bowser has received many new moves over the course of the Smash series, the trivia point that claims he is the only non-clone character to receive a complete moveset overhaul doesn't strike me as correct. However, I could see him having received the most new moves overall amongst the full roster; if this is true, then should we replace that trivia point with "Bowser is the character to have received the most changes to his moveset over the course of the Smash Bros. series" or something similar? Infobox Image updateEdit
Should we update the infobox image for Bowser? I was thinking to use some other images that actually depict more of Bowser instead of just his back. -- PanchamBro (talk • contributions) 16:56, April 20, 2021 (EDT)
