DMBrandon, also known as Diem, was a Brawl Meta Knight main from New Jersey. He generally teamed with Shadow, a top level Meta Knight from the same region. He was a high level tournament player with some impressive tournament placings in the first half of Brawl's competitive life, but was overshadowed within the Tristate Area, which hosted an extremely high concentration of top and near top level players. DMBrandon was a member of Juice, along with Shadow, Ksizzle, Doom, and a few other smashers. They were mostly known for hosting Concentrate, a series of high level tournaments in North/Central New Jersey.
After leaving competitive Smash near the end of Brawl, DMBrandon became a professional commentator for Smite. He would briefly attempt to return to competitive Smash when he was initially slotted for a commentary slot for top 8 of Melee at Apex 2015. This, however, was met with severe community backlash, due to previous negative statements he made about Smash, as well as his lack of any prior significant involvement with Melee, making the community feel he was unsuited for such a high profile commentary spot. In response to the backlash, DMBradon willingly stepped down from his commentary slot, while Toph was chosen to take his place. He would not make any further serious attempts to get reinvolved in competitive Smash in any high profile capacity, and would only compete at the occasional tournament after this point.
