Alaska
Alaska is a Smash region that encompasses the US state of Alaska. It borders the Canadian provinces of British Columbia and Yukon. Tournament activity in the region takes place in Anchorage, Fairbanks, Juneau, and the Kenai Peninsula; however, due to the distances between each scene there is seldom a ranking for the entire region.
Due to the region's large size, sparse population, and distance from the continental United States and even Vancouver, it is considered the most secluded Smash region in the United States, and as such has one of the smallest competitive scenes in Smash. Despite this, a few notable events have taken place in Alaska, notably the Alaska ComiCon series and Show Me Your Moose 2, the latter of which featured several players from outside of Alaska. The region also has some noteworthy talent, including Ishimi, who notably qualified for the SWT: NA West Ultimate Regional Finals and as such gave Alaska some representation on the global scene.
