Vermanubis is a professional smasher from New Hampshire and currently residing in Oregon, noted for being one of the few pure Ganondorf players in competitive Brawl, and is often considered the best Ganondorf player in the United States, along with DLA. He is known for playing a patient, yet aggressive Ganondorf, with what is considered to be some of the best prediction and perfect shielding skills. He is also known for being capable of utilizing the difficult Flight of Ganon and Flipman techniques in play.
As a person, Vermanubis is first noticed for his tall and imposing stature, towering over most other smashers while being incredibly built. He is also noted for his vast vocabulary, immense knowledge on several subjects (particularly music), and a strong grasp of diction, where he gained significant popularity in the Smash community from his well written and insightful blogs on NintendoDojo. Being generally regarded as one of the most intelligent smashers, while being one of the more sociable and amicable smashers with no scandals in Smash or other life issues, Vermanubis has one of the most favorable reputations among the Smash community.
In 2011, Vermanubis moved to Oregon, where due to the lack of tournaments and general isolation, his tournament activity in Smash has become mostly inactive. He still enters Brawl tournaments whenever he can though, and despite playing significantly less, he still manages to place well in them.
Vermanubis continues to play Ganondorf in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U despite only owning the game on its 3DS counterpart and even goes as far as to occasionally use his 3DS in place of the more common GameCube controller. Despite this, he remains one of the best Ganondorf players in the United States, alongside GanonTheBeast.

- Similar to Gimpyfish, many players believe Vermanubis would be a top player if he mained a top tier character, particularly Snake. Like Gimpyfish with Bowser, Vermanubis sticks with Ganondorf, citing that he doesn't find any other character as fun to play.
- Vermanubis is one of the few established players to use Classic Controllers in competitive play.
- It is commonly joked in the Smash community that Vermanubis is Ganondorf, for imitating the character at tournaments while having what many see to be a resemblance to the character.
- Vermanubis speed runs the Contra games, and plays Ultra Street Fighter IV competitively.
