Smash Summit 2 is an ongoing national Super Smash Bros. Melee invitational tournament held in Los Angeles, California from April 21st-24th, 2016 by Beyond the Summit, an eSports company known for their Dota 2 coverage. Singles, doubles and side events for Melee can be expected to be hosted. The tournament is being held at the Summit gaming house, a private residence, and so is not open to the general public. This tournament is also notable for being only the second tournament where Mew2King beat Armada, the other being SKTAR 3.

6 more players were chosen by the community. They had to be Top 50 on the 2015 SSBMRank or have placed Top 32 at either The Big House 5 or GENESIS 3.
