Overview
Sheik leans forward and slashes in front of her. It has great range, low starting, ending and landing lag (which is even lower when it auto-cancels). Due to all of these, it can can combo into itself multiple times to rack up damage and edgeguard offstage opponents. It deals more damage when hit with the sweetspot, dealing 5% instead of 4.3%.
Sheiks's forward aerial had it's damage lowered in game updates. Update 1.1.0 made it's sourspot override it's sweetspot. However, it's reduced damage allows it to combo into itself even better.
