My ideas/requests/aspectations/dreams about future Super Smash Bros. games
New features
- Alternate Character - Clone characters are something annoying but very cheap, so I think it would be better to have more of them, but downgraded into secondary characters: In my ideal SSB, the character select screen would only have original character (or formerly clones), but there would be a clone character for each one of them. After selecting your character, pressing a specific button flips their icon, revealing the clone character. The clones would have only aesthetical or statistic changes, so this way they could double the roaster of known faces, without adding any knew animations. Well, actually in my mind even if the clone's moveset is identical to the original character's, each one of them has a different Final Smash. Here are some clone abbinations I though of:
- Mario - Dr.Mario
- Link - Dark Link
- Samus - Dark Samus (or Samus-G?)
- Zero Suit Samus - Gandrayda?
- Yoshi - Birdo
- Captain Falcon - Blood Falcon
- Peach - Daisy
- Zelda - Toon Zelda
- Sheik - Tetra
- Toon Link - Young Link
- R.O.B. - Ancient Minister
- Extra Costume - Like Wario in Brawl has two different costumes, each with a different set of palette swaps, in my ideal SSB game each character has one extra costume, but it doesn't have extra palette swaps, so it can be chosen by only one character. Clone characters, being alternate versions themselves, don't have it. Here are some extra costume possibilities:
- Mario - Tanooki Suit
- Link - Magic Armor from Twilight Princess
- Samus - Fusion Suit
- Zero Suit Samus - Justin Bailey: her jumpsuit appearance in Metroid. Instead of the paralizer gun she has a little version of the arm cannon, like in Metroid.
- Peach - Sport suit.
- Zelda - Classic Zelda: Considering now Zelda is based on Skyward Sword, this outfit gives her the look she had in Ocarina of Time.
- Sheik - Impa. She looks exactly like Impa from Skyward Sword.
- Toon Link - Engineer's Clothes from Spirit Tracks
New Characters
Nintendo
- File:MarioSymbol.pngDaisy: being Peach's clone she has all her moves, but is slower and stronger. Her Final Smash is Crystal Smash!, her special move from Mario Strikers Charged Football, she punches the ground summoning large crystals around them, that cause great damage and possibly KO all near opponents.
Third Party
- Captain N
- Banjo & Kazooie
Mega Man(happened)- Bomberman
- Giana, from Great Giana Sisters.
- Jill of the Jungle
- Simon Belmont
- Bionic Commando
- Ryu Hayabusa
Ryu from Street Fighter(happened)- Earthworm Jim
New Moves for existing character
- Adult Link's new Side Move: Beetle - Since the new Adult Link will probably based on Skyward Sword's Link, I feel very likely they'll replace the Boomerang, that's not in SS, with one of that game's new weapons, the Beetle, that in fact serves the same purposes of the Boomerang in Zelda. In SSB it works just like the Boomerang in Brawl, grabbing the opponents and pulling them to Link, butit can also be controlled in mid-air.
- Toon Link's new Final Smash, to further differentiate him from Adult Link: Four Sword - As soon as Link touches the Smash Ball, the camera zooms on him and the game freezes for the other characters while he takes the Four Sword from its pedestal. After it he splits in four. From this point on Link has three CPU controlled Link teammates. They are regular Links, with no special powers but remain on-screen for an entire minute, before disappearing with the Four Sword.
- If the player's Link was either Green, Red, Blue or Purple, the three extra Links will be of the other three colors, to complete the four Links team. If the player has Toon Link's Classic outfit, it counts as green, while the Engineer's Clothes count as blue. If the player has the Dark Link outfit, the four resulting Links will all have a different color and will be based on the four Dark Links from the Four Sword Palace in A Link to the Past on the GBA.
- The player can switch between the various Links at any time, by pressing the taunt button, and the Link currently selected is recogniseable by the player arrow above his head. Also as soon as the Link is selected he'll say "Ah!" with a different tone, just like in Four Swords Adventures.
- If a Link is KO'd he doesn't respawn, even if it's the original one or the one currently controlled by the player. In the latter case the player will automatically take control of the successive Link. Once three Links are knocked out, the Four Sword disappears and the remaining Link, if is not the starting one, flashes and gains the color of the original Link (this eppens everytime when using the Dark Link outfit).
- Young Link's Final Smash: Fierce Deity Link - Yeah, everybody want it! Link puts on the Fierce Deity mask becoming Fierce Deity Link! In this form his animations are based on Adult Link, but his only special attack consists in a sword slice that releases a sword beam.
New Assist Trophies
- File:YoshiSymbol.png Spirit of Surprises from Yoshi's Universal Graviitation. When he's released gives the person who released it the power to tilt the world left or right like in the game, causing flat platforms to become slopes and very high slopes can become actual walls. I don't know how the new console's controls would work, so how this would be accomplished.
