Princess "Peach" Toadstool is a character from the Mario universe, and is often seen as Mario's damsel in distress and love interest.
Character Description
Princess Peach, called Princess Toadstool in America at first, has been a mainstream Mario character since her first appearence in Super Mario Bros.. She usually takes on the role of being the damsel in distress, though sometimes, she has been known to help out Mario. She was even the main protagonist in Super Princess Peach.
In Super Smash Bros. Melee

Princess Peach appears as one of the 14 default characters available in Melee. She is considered by professional players to be amongst the best characters in the game.
In Super Smash Bros. Brawl

Princess Peach returns as a veteran to Brawl. Her moves have been virtually unchanged from Melee, with a few minor enchacements and/or nerfs. Her Final Smash attack, Peach Blossom, involves her lulling all opponents to sleep.
