Here's the deal. SSB4-U textures are being ripped and I have the head icons. They are exactly the same as the 3DS ones (even the same size, at 64x64px) - but with two caveats. One, they're of slightly higher quality; look at the 3DS head icons and you'll see compression artifacts that the Wii U ones don't have. Two, Pac-Man is in a notably different pose (with his other arm showing); no other character has a noticable difference.
So, here we need to decide what exactly to do. To lay everything out, SSB4 has a sum total of 3 head icon sets:
- The 3DS ones that we currently have.
- The Wii U ones, which are of higher quality (though probably imperceptible when used at reduced size), and with a single character (Pac-Man) in a clearly different pose.
- The mini 3DS ones, which are unique and 16x16px, but have no potential usage on-wiki other than maybe a "this is what they look like" on the alt costume page.
No matter what we do, we need to have both of Pac-Man's because they're notably different. So: Should we upload the entirety of sets 1 and 2 (with "SSB4-3" and "SSB4-U" names) just because of this?
