Hi. I saw that a post of mine was removed recently for being too subjective. It was about Ivysaur being mentioned as female on the PM website, despite the fact the the PM Ivysaur is male. If it was worded differently, could it be added onto this page? Because I think that's an interesting fact. It's all right if the post is still considered too subjective, I would just like an answer to me idea. John (talk) 20:35, 10 November 2014 (EST)
- It's simple really: how do you know the Ivysaur in PM is male? If you can provide an official source that states that the Ivysaur in PM is male, then it can stay; if you can't, it shouldn't be on the page. It's one of our policies to not add speculation into the mainspace, and this is, as of now, speculation. Also, what edit? I looked at your contributions, and you've only made one other edits that's unrelated to this. Did you edit as an IP or something? Rtzxy Reflect!!! 20:44, 10 November 2014 (EST)
- Okay, that definitely answers my question. Thanks! Yes, I edited the page as an IP. I'll try to stick to verifiable trivia from now on. John (talk) 20:51, 10 November 2014 (EST)
- I should also note that we refer to all Pokémon with gender-neutral pronouns (it). Your edit, which I did find when you edited as an IP, said, and I quote, "This is strange, considering that the Ivysaur in Project M clearly has a male voice, and because male Ivysaurs are much more common in the Pokémon universe.". This line would be in violation of that rule anyways, and shouldn't be added. Also, read our trivia policy, just for future reference. Rtzxy Reflect!!! 20:56, 10 November 2014 (EST)
