Just wondering, do we actually know the item is a Boomerang Flower and not just a throwable Boomerang designed in the same way? FirstaLasto 13:57, 23 April 2014 (EDT)

Technically, I don't think we do, but why would they go for the Mario boomerang rather than something like the Zelda one if it's not accompanied by its respective power-up? I think that's why it's treated this way. If it's wrong, we can just move it later. N64icon.jpgintendrone42 14:26, 23 April 2014 (EDT)
Well, the Zelda boomerang is already an attack. It would be weird to also make it an item. As for why they would make it just a boomerang instead of a flower, well there isnt any indication that Yoshi has any powerup, so how would you know you have it? FirstaLasto 14:51, 23 April 2014 (EDT)
Items that are also part of moves has technically happened before with Diddy's bananas, and to an extent Peach and Dedede's random items from Veggie and Waddle Dee Toss respectively. Perhaps you holding the boomerang is the indicator that the flower is active, or that the indicator is not yet implemented (U version isn't done yet) or turned off by debug. Since we don't have an exact indication either way, I think we should just keep it the way it is for now. N64icon.jpgintendrone42 15:12, 23 April 2014 (EDT)
