Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome, editors and users, to the Smash Arena! Each week this forum hosts a tussle between two characters from the Super Smash Bros. series! The winner gets, well, nothing. It's more of a poll but functionally, this is a popularity contest. You may vote for your favorite or who you think would win in an competition between the two combatants that round. No, you don't have to vote for the character with strength & power, just vote if you are a total fanboy of the character. So what are you waiting for? Get voting! Remember, you can remain anonymous! If you have any requests for future fights, please feel free to leave a message here.

The Rules, Briefly

  1. You can only vote once.
  2. Vote under the name of the fighter you are voting for.
  3. When voting, you can give a brief comment on why you voted for that fighter, or you can just leave your signature.
  4. ALWAYS put # when you vote so it can help us count the votes!!
  5. ALWAYS put in your signature with ~~~~. This is required for both signed on users and anon users.
  6. Any comments about the fight should be left in the comments sections.
  7. If you wish to leave a comment in more than one section, do not edit each section individually.
  8. DON'T LEAVE A SPACE BETWEEN YOUR POST AND THE POSTS ABOVE AND BELOW YOURS!

It's the two swordsmen with completely different fighting styles - one focusing more on spacing, finesse, and tippers, whereas the other is more about power, fire, and close-range destruction. They never knew each other in their home universe, but they're certainly rivals in this one, especially since only one moved on into Brawl.

Normally, the Falcon Punch would be listed on the left. However, it's all too appropriate that the images face each other, as it helps people gain a better understanding of what exactly they're dealing with - not that mere mortals can fully comprehend it.

  7. Unlike the Warlock Punch, the Falcon Punch isn't too slow as to be unusable outside of FFAs. While the Warlock Punch is much stronger and has no sourspots, the Falcon Punch's faster start-up and Captain Falcon's vastly superior mobility make the Falcon Punch a much better attack. Also, unlike the Warlock Punch, it is possible to combo into the Falcon Punch and use it for aerial edgeguarding without SDing. Omega Tyrant   02:07, August 15, 2010 (UTC)

  9. It was a tough desition for me. While the Warlock Punch might be more stronger and more HRC useful, the Falcon punch is overall better than the warlock punch by its faster speed, more air usage, and just being a somewhat better finisher. Doc King (talk) 01:07, August 16, 2010 (UTC)

Just saying to people, the Warlock Punch has priority over the Falcon Punch. I'm not changin my vote over this, but it is worth mentioning. Mr. Anon teh awsome 05:13, August 18, 2010 (UTC)

No, it does not. The Warlock Punch will only out-prioritise the Falcon Punch if the Warlock Puch is reversed and the Falcon Punch is not. Also, this does not make a difference in the moves' effectiveness. How often are you going to actually clash with these two? Omega Tyrant   05:19, August 18, 2010 (UTC)
