Summary

The biggest upset of the tournament was on the #2 seed Raru, who lost early in pools to Ocha 0-3 (upset factor 10). Despite this, he managed to make a 11-set losers run to before losing to Miya to place 2nd and match his seed. On the other hand, this event saw a cinderella run from #47 seed Ryopei, who defeated several notable Japanese players before losing to Miya in Winner's Finals 3-0 and Raru in Loser's Finals 2-3.
