Fist Bump International 2024 was a superregional tournament held in New Taipei City, Taiwan, from August 30th-31st, 2024. This tournament was notable for inviting players from a number of different regions. This included JB from China, Bomboozler and Mizeru from Hong Kong, Omuatsu, Hanadon, Tomisa, and J-Snake from different regions of Japan, MkLeo, MKBigBoss, and Andrik from Mexico, Slash from Singapore, Eldin and Zeon from Thailand, and Parma Jawn and Tree from the the SoCal region of the United States. To date, this is the largest Smash event held in Taiwan, at 140 entrants in Singles, surpassing the record held by the previous iteration Fist Bump International at 109 entrants.
Tournament summary
MKLeo (1st seed), while utilizing a combination of Joker and Meta Knight defeated Hanadon (8th seed), Tomisa (4th seed), Omuatsu (3rd seed) and MKBigBoss (2nd seed) enroute to winning the tournament.
7 of the top 8 seeds made top 8, with the sole exception of J-Snake (7th seed). Instead, Eldin (10th seed) placed 5th after upsetting Andrik (6th seed), ShiNe (9th seed), and J-Snake.
