ShinyMark is a Super Smash Bros. UltimatePikachu player from Guatemala, considered the best Pikachu player in the post-online metagame and the all-time best player from Central America. First known for his performances during the online metagame, ShinyMark eventually had his breakout offline event at Smash Factor 9, where he placed 5th and became only the second Pikachu player to place top 8 a major. Since then, he has placed highly at several other majors and national-level events, and became the second Pikachu to win a major at S Factor 11, the best Pikachu performance in the post-online metagame. As such, he is often considered one of the best Pikachu players of all-time alongside ESAM. He is currently ranked 34th on the LumiRank 2023, the first Central American player ranked top 50 on an Ultimate global ranking.
ShinyMark is known for his spacing and defensive playstyle with all the characters he plays. With Pikachu, he forces his opponents into tech chases that he can use to follow up on other aerials he uses, which is then used to follow up into edgeguards that other players wouldn't have even thought of before. ShinyMark is also known for his conservative edgeguards, never really overextending his moves whilst being cautious of how much stage control he has which can help him live stocks for a lot longer.
