Tournament summary
The tournament featured a number of surprise runs and upsets, with four of the top 8 seeds finishing outside the top 8.
The third seed, Karpador64 placed 17th after being upset by 14th seed Fenrir and 22nd seed FireXBoy97. The fourth seed, Tarmogoyf, placed 33rd after being upset by the 29th seed Twinbal in winners and the 5th seed DeepFreeze in losers.
DeepFreeze, had themselves been upset in the first round of winners by the 60th seed, ErenYēgā. DeepFreeze would go on to win 4 rounds in losers, collecting wins on Tarmogoyf and Byron before being upset by the 10th seed Gaya, giving them a 9th place finish.
Gaya placed 3rd after upsetting DeepFreze and double eliminating the 7th seed Discodog.
