  • This tournament marks the first Ultimate major win for Mr. Game & Watch.
    • Similarly, this tournament marks the highest placement at a major for a Meta Knight player at second, although not completely.
  • This tournament, Kagaribi 4, Let's Make Big Moves 2022, Umebura SP 6, and Kagaribi 7 are the only Ultimate majors to have a winner seeded outside of the top 16 (Miya was seeded 17th).
  • This is the second iteration of the Kagaribi tournament series won by a first-time entrant, with acola having previously won Kagaribi 7.
