Use the preview button when editing

Hi, I've noticed you just made six consecutive minor edits to your userpage in quick succession, and by looking at your edit history I see this isn't your first time making a series of quick consecutive edits to the same page. When editing you should always use the preview button to review your edit for mistakes before saving it, otherwise you'll clog up the recent changes with unnecessary edits that could have been condensed to a single edit or two.

Differences from Mythra

Hello, I noticed you reverted my edit in Pyra's page. Generally on wiki we do not include the "Differences from" section on the parent fighter page, even if they were developed and revealed simultaneously like Simon and Richter. Although determining who exactly the parent fighter is in this case might be somewhat arbitrary, I have considered that Pyra makes more sense as she was revealed sooner (well, by a few moments) and has an earlier fighter number; other pages such as Clone make a similar consideration. As I have already explained on my edit summary, keeping track of two changelogs is needlessly hard, when if required you can just link to one in the other page. Thank you for your attention. --Rdrfc (talk) 12:57, March 12, 2021 (EST)

Tournament pages

I appreciate that you made the SWT tournament page for Central America, but in the future please format it correctly instead of clumping them all together. That way, it would be much easier to look at when editing. Cookies Creme 13:20, March 21, 2021 (EDT)

You know how open violation of rules works, right? The AFD notice clearly states that you must inform an administrator of your planned prank beforehand. Action can and probably will be taken against you if you don't straighten things out. Just thought I'd let you know, perhaps you know something I don't. Sincerely, Samuel the Banjo-Kazooie Boss.   16:44, March 23, 2021 (EDT)

Sorry, I'll tell Omega Tyrant... —Preceding unsigned comment added by McEgg (talkcontribs) 16:47, March 23, 2021 (EDT)

Seems like you haven't used talk pages a lot, so I'll tell you about a few things to keep in mind. First, when writing a message, always end the message with four tildes "~~~~" to automatically enter your signature, which includes info about who posted a message and when they posted it, for user convenience. I've added a template to the end of your message to serve that purpose, but we expect you to take care of that yourself in the future. Secondly, when replying to another user's message, be sure to use a colon ":" at the beginning of the message to indent it a little and make it clear that your message is a reply. Once you've got all that, I would definitely recommend giving SW:TALK a good read for more info on proper talk page etiquette, for not following those rules can cause a lot of problems. Sincerely, Samuel the Banjo-Kazooie Boss.   16:57, March 23, 2021 (EDT)
Just thought I should bring this up as well, your account isn't old enough to be considered Established by AFD, so you won't be able to edit then. DekZek   17:02, March 23, 2021 (EDT)

Put articles like that in your userspace

I'm assuming you didn't quite mean to put that Impostor article in the mainspace, but if you wanted to put that article somewhere before approval for AFD, an appropriate place will be in a user subpage. To do that, simply create an article that begins with "User:McEgg/" where you then put the article title after the slash there (so this one would be called "User:McEgg/Imposter (SSBU)". Now don't put such an article in mainspace again. Omega Tyrant   16:00, March 27, 2021 (EDT)

I would like to point out that this was actually the second time the user in question created the article. Alex the Weeb 16:05, March 27, 2021 (EDT)
Still, judging by how they've only been here for about a month and no one warned them the first time, I'd say they didn't know. Cookies Creme 16:08, March 27, 2021 (EDT)
I just noticed that, but afterward still no one told them on the talkpage not to do that and instead direct them to putting it in a user subpage, so for a newer user that has been constructive thus far, it still looks like just a newbie mistake and not worth banning them over. Omega Tyrant   16:09, March 27, 2021 (EDT)

Also another thing, if you do recreate the article as a subpage, remember to remove all the red links, as red links to articles not meant to exist aren't allowed. Additionally do not put it into any categories. Omega Tyrant   17:19, March 27, 2021 (EDT)
