Thanks for working on tournaments for the Argentine Smash scene, really appreciate it. Cookies Creme 15:17, June 13, 2019 (EDT)

Other South American scenes

Hey, do you happen to have information other South American scenes outside of Argentina? If you do, it would be great if you can add those onto the wiki as well. Cookies Creme 00:03, May 2, 2020 (EDT)

South American scenes

Hey! Yes, I have information about other scenes in Uruguay, Peru, Paraguay, Brazil, and Chile. Mainly Chile, Uruguay, and Paraguay, I even made a Wiki from a player from Chile. In a couple of months, I would like to try to create more Wikis about players and Tournaments from South America. Right now, a player from Gainsville called Cagt asked me to create and adjust Wikis from Floridian players, mainly from Gainesville, Jacksonville, and Tallahassee. Later I would communicate with players from SA. Thank you for noticing.Tacho99 02:39, May 2, 2020 (ART)

Thank you. I really appreciate the help! Cookies Creme 10:22, May 2, 2020 (EDT)

Leo

I was going to create a smash article on the player Leo that mains wii fit. I noticed their is also a 64 player that goes by that tag. Do you have any idea if this is the same person? Wiifitkid (talk) 09:37, July 10, 2020 (EDT)

Response

As a matter of fact, I was already gonna create a Wiki about said player. I already got the info and even a picture of him. There's a player from Peru that plays Smash 64 called Leo, but is not MeetLeo, the other player that also has that same tag. If you don't mind, I will create that Wiki. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Tacho99 (talkcontribs) 12:34, July 10, 2020‎

Oh gotcha, go for it! Wiifitkid (talk) 12:35, July 10, 2020 (EDT)
A quick thing, MeetLeo is sometimes liked as "Leo (Peru Ultimate)" on pages such as Claro Mas Gamers Festival 2019 and CoVill Gaming Championship 2019. Cookies Creme 12:47, July 10, 2020 (EDT)

A few Argentine players

On Special:WantedPages there are a few Argentine smashers who have over 20 links on the wiki such as B't X, Polo, and Piñata. Since you know more about the Argentine scene, I was wondering if you would be creating these pages in the future. Cookies Creme 18:40, March 8, 2021 (EST)

About those players

- First of all... Polo is not from Argentina. He's a Lucario Main from Chile.

- A Wiki page of Piñata would be great.

- But a page of B't X won't happen. Even though he was a great Yoshi Main here in Argentina as well as TO of the weeklies in Buenos Aires, he's repressed from the Community due to controversies in relation to homophobia, not paying the winnings at tournaments, racial discrimination, faking his own death, faking to have cancer so he could enter a tournament while being banned, among other things. I was told by the community that it was better for me or any other user to not create a Wiki of him due to the number of controversies that he was a part of and if he had one, it would just boost his ego. There's also another player from this region that has the same problem (although I believe is worst) by the tag of Panda/Pandafuhrer. I can tell you the reasons on Discord if you would like.

I hope you have a great week.

That's a fair reason. If you want, B't X can also have a controversy section that lists all of his misdeeds. That way, it preserves his results and notes why he's banned from the community so it wouldn't boost his ego. Cookies Creme 19:16, March 8, 2021 (EST)
For me smasher pages aren't for boosting someone's ego, it is for listing their insights relevant to the Smash community. So no I don't think it is a good reason to reject if the smasher is suitified. We just need to compile a long paragraph of controversies I suppose.   NPM Morr!?   19:42, March 8, 2021 (EST)
B'T X's actions indeed wouldn't erase his past notability and thus he would still merit an article, though of course for him to get an article, someone has to be willing to make it in the first place, and I don't blame Tacho nor anyone else in the Argentina scene for not be willing to do so. Simply if someone does make it, the article would be allowed to stay up as long as a proper effort was made, but I don't expect anyone to be enthusiastic about getting it done. The fact to the matter is that even though he had great results, his inclusion into the Wiki is gonna create a huge controversy in the ARG Smash scene for 3 different reasons

1. If someone else creates the Wiki even though I wasn't involved, members of the Community are gonna go after me to delete it, even though I don't have that power nor the knowledge to do so. It happened to me before for other reasons and I don't want that happening again.

2. Other controversial players are gonna use social media and other outlets to express their disagreement on the fact that B't X has a Wiki and they don't. Especially Panda, who is known as the one to provoke the Community to ban both him and B't X.

3. If B't X has his Wiki without the controversies surrounding his ban, then he would feel like he's the greatest just for having a Wiki and nothing more. If he does, however, knowing that I'm one of the players that also do Wikis, he's gonna come after me for creating a Wiki involving his previous mistakes. I'm seriously scared if the latter happens.

You can do what you want, but the problem relies on the fact that if either Panda or B't X have a Wiki, I'm screwed. In many ways. Tacho99 (talk) 22:00 March 8th, 2021 (EST)

First of all, we call that creating an "article" on the wiki, not "creating a wiki". I believe whenever a smasher is notable, they can deserve a page, no one should harass any wiki individuals or members of the Smash community simply because of someone having a page. If the controversial players get the pages, a section need to be listed in detail to summarize their incidents in their community scenes.   NPM Morr!?   00:06, March 9, 2021 (EST)
