- It was announced on the official EVO Twitter account that EVO will be hosting an event known as EVO Online, following the cancellation of EVO 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate was removed from both the special exhibition and the open tournament lineup and won't be featured at the event.

Marss & Kuro take Ultimate doubles; Hungrybox & mayb take Melee doubles.
