Pnoy is a Marth player from San Diego, CA. Current member of JATS. He plays SSBM under the name PNOY, and along with his crewmate LHG form the Doubles team, Ernie Rays. Jr. as a tribute to their martial arts homeboy Ernie Reyes Jr. Surprisingly, after watching the series of DBR(Death By Rape) combo videos, his younger brother Mark(BoogalooMark) got Pnoy to play at a more competitive level. Pnoy, along with LHG and J Flo, are sometimes upset at their late entrance into the competitive smashing world. Every Friday Pnoy would meet up after school with his fellow schoolmates/friends/smashers LHG(Ranulfo) and his brother Br!x(Ranier), J Flo(Jason), Teet(Armando), and Pnoy's brother BoogalooMark(Mark), go out to eat(usually at a Mexican food place) and "smash it up" afterwards for hours on end.
Smash History
When he first started playing SSBM, he mained as Roy due to his swordplay style and his sheer power. After getting more into the game, he decided he needed a more swift character, and that is the reason he switched to maining as Marth. The choice to second as Dr. Mario was helped by Pnoy watching Bob Money's part in the DBR combo video Evolution. Pnoy also plays as many other characters including Ganondorf(which he uses for doubles), Captain Falcon, Link, Sheik, Roy, and Falco; but only uses Marth, Dr. Mario, Captain Falcon, and Ganondorf in tournaments.
Trivia
- Pnoy's name comes from his half Pinoy(Filipino) side of his ethnicity, the other half being Irish and Norwegian.
- Plays Halo 2 competitively online, his gamertag is NOCTURNAL 9. Also plays Ragnarok Online in which he owns it up on the server BlackoutRO on his Champion class character Katsumagi.
- Made up the word Katsumagi, meaning "the art of the tip of the blade," after switching to Marth and needing a better name for Marth's "tipper" hits.
- Thinks the 3 Ninjas movies and Surf Ninjas movie are THEE BEST movies ever.
