Heart Container.
The Heart Container is an item that will reduce the damage of the person who picks it up. In Super Smash Bros., the Heart Container reduces a character's damage to 0%, but in Super Smash Bros. Melee it only subtracts 100%. In each game, a player cannot take any damage for the short amount of time that the heart spends replenishing health. The Heart Container is from the Zelda series.
In SSBM's All-Star Mode, you must fight every character with only three of these to heal yourself. In this mode, they will heal all of your damage, not just 100%.
