The Electroplankton universe (エレクトロプランクトン, Electroplankton) is one of the many unique universes represented in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. The universe consists of only a single title (excluding the DSiWare re-release, split up as the game's 10 stages for individual sale): a relatively obscure music creation software. Its only representation is a stage, Hanenbow, and a few stickers.

In Super Smash Bros. Brawl

Stage

  • Hanenbow is a secret stage in Brawl representing the Electroplankton universe. It is unlocked by finishing Event 28: Flower Blooms in the Echoes. Hanenbow is the only stage where My Music does not work; the music is generated by the actions of the players and the Hanenbow that fly around the stage. The leaves change color and angle when struck.

This page documents information about recently released content.
Information may change rapidly as it becomes available. All information in this article must be verifiable.

Stage

  • Hanenbow is a starting stage coming back from Brawl.

Spirit

  • Hanenbow also appears as a Spirit.

Music

  • A new track titled "Electroplankton (Remix)" appears, incorporating melodies and samples from Hanenbow, Marine-Snow, Luminaria, Lumiloop, and Beatnes.

Trivia

  • Electroplankton and Metal Gear are the only major universes to be entirely dropped from a Smash game, with no content whatsoever in SSB4. Ice Climber, while having its sole playable character(s) not returning and not having any stages in the same game, is still represented by trophies, two music tracks and the Polar Bear's appearance in Smash Run. However, both of these universes made a return in Ultimate.
