Lapras is the a dual-type Water/Ice Pokémon of Generation I. A gentle soul that can read the minds of people. It can ferry people across the sea on its back.. It doesn't evolve or evolves from anything.

Transport Spirit

Lapras's spirit can be used to traverse water as shown in the World of Light trailer shown back in the 1/11 Smash Direct.

Trivia

  • The Lapras as a transportation spirit is most likely a reference to the Pokémon Anime where the main protagonist Ash Ketchum uses Lapras for traversing water.
  • Coincidentally, in the Pokémon Red and Blue beta, Lapras was originally going to be called "Ness", but as a reference to the Loch Ness Monster.
