I predict... That the characters in Super Smash Bros. 5 will be the exact same as the characters in Super Smash Bros. 4. ...Because Super Smash Bros. 5 is the Wii U version, while 4 is the 3DS version. I believe Sakurai stated in an interview that he considers the Wii U game the fifth iteration of the series. As for a roster for Super Smash Bros. 6, I'll have to think about this one. Aidan, I am counting Inkling as your newcomer pick, because characters from anime aren't characters from video games (unless the anime is based off of the video game and the character is based off of a video game character, like Ash Ketchum).

By the way, if a character who is technically against the rules (like the guy Aidan put) is confirmed in the game, there will be no score deductions due to the fact that you weren't allowed to predict them. Just making a rather obvious comment: if the first character is confirmed and your roster states something to the effect of "New Gen Pokemon", that will be counted as a character named "New Gen Pokemon". Mickey Mouse

Nutta gave a clear example that Mickey couldn't appear, but I'm questioning his availability. The Epic Mickey series is why. I feel like he could be included if he came outta Epic Mickey. Then again, maybe I'm just insane. Anybody else think this, cause I feel like he might have a shot if another Epic Mickey game was made. He's exclusive the video games based off of a television series. It would be weird for him to appear without Darth Vader or Luke or someone because he's not important enough (well, he's important, but he's also Vader's apprentice, so).

I just want to point out one thing that seems to be common in these predictions, but that I feel doesn't make sense: There's no way Sakurai would be adding Chrom or any other other old Fire Emblem character in 2020 or whenever Smash 5 comes out. Roy got in as DLC in Smash 4, but that's because he was a fan-favorite veteran from Melee. By the time of Smash 5, Chrom will neither be retro or relevant to his series. Sakurai will definitely add a character from the most relevant Fire Emblem game at the time of Smash 5's release. John PK SMAAAASH!! 21:59, 4 December 2015 (EST)

I see a lot of people cutting the weird characters. Specifically I see Wii Fit Trainer, Villager and Duck Hunt being cut in a lot of predictions. I don't know the justification of this. In my opinion, if you are not a clone or semi-clone, Sakurai or whoever replaces him will try his hardest to keep them. The only exceptions are for hardware limitations (Ice Climbers, Squirtle and Ivysaur) or lack of support from developers (Snake). I bid you good day, sirs -Tadd
