Texas is a Smash region that encompasses the U.S. state of Texas. The state is further divided into smaller subregions, surrounding its largest cities: Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, and Austin.

Texas has been home to a significant Melee seen since the game's early competitive life, although it has not been as strong as other large regions talent-wise, with only one player ranked in the 2017 SSBMRank. The region is also known for hosting one of the strongest Smash 4 and Project M scenes as well, and was considered one of the "big four" Brawl regions (along with New York/New Jersey, SoCal, and Florida, although the inactivity of its players in the pre-Smash 4 era caused the region to lose much of its strength. Texas has been home to major grassroots tournaments, including Low Tier City, WHOBO, and Battle of the Five Gods, as well as many larger eSports events, including multiple MLG events, DreamHack, and PAX Arena.
