Maine Competitive Gaming Monthly 3 was the third of the monthly Maine Competitive Gaming tournament series, held at Howard Johnson Hotel in South Portland, Maine. The tournament had Melee, Project M and Smash 4. The top 8 was streamed and uploaded to the Maine Competitive Gaming YouTube channel. This was the first of the series to introduce doubles. There was a $50 bounty placed on whichever player from Maine could defeat Dazwa in Melee, Project M and Smash 4. The only exception was for th0rn in Melee. However, th0rn defeated Dazwa in Project M, and took his prize. It was the largest Project M tournament in Maine.
