A Fated Battle is a single-player event match in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. The player as Link, must defeat Ganondorf in a 2 stock battle. If the battle lasts through the third background change, 2 Dark Links, each with 1 stock, will appear. This event is similar to Brawl's Event 9: The Monster Beneath the Earth, which had Fire Emblem characters.
