How To Arrange
As someone already said we should update the article acording to the Sound Test Songs... the 258 Songs, and set them in tables... as a reference I use the Music Guide by BlackIce27 found at Gamefaqs.com.

Use of Tables
Title | Description | Usage | Notes |
---|---|---|---|
Name of the Song Bolded [1] |
|
If it is a "Starter song", "Unlockable Song", "Collectable CD Song" and in which stage or part is played. | Here it goes the specifics of the Song (the ones included in the Sound Test). Everything with the small tags |
Example
Yeesh, I'm not sure we should be having a fifth column, let alone one where all that's in there is a video link; makes the whole table look pretty scrunched up. If a video link is necessary and proper for the tables, I'd say make it in the title column, as either "The Title Itself" or "The Title [2]", or maybe put it in the Usage section. Maybe this is better...? Erik Jensen (Appreciate me here!) 02:44, 22 March 2008 (UTC)
- The tables are a good idea, but it still needs a lot of work!
Deleted Material
There were music from Animal Crossing, Wario Ware, Pikmin, and misc. that were deleted. However, there were too many edits so I was unable to locate which edit removed it. I don't see any discussion or consensus regarding the removal, so I re-added them. Leave a message or respond if I've made an error. --Misken67 23:41, 31 March 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah sorry abaout that. All the elimination was part of the remodelation, so now the idea is to get all those 258 songs into tables with detached information. BTW, the Misc songs are part of the "Nintendo" section- KazMx "Blue Wolf" (Talk • Contributions ) 04:30, 1 April 2008 (UTC)
Other Removed Songs
I'm pretty sure that Follow Me from sonic Adventure 2 was going to be in. why isnt it in the removed song section? Pokemoneinstein 15:11, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
(EDIT) WHERE IS IT?
THIS SONG IS NOT LISTED ON THE PAGE AND I AM DESPERATE TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO OBTAIN IT! <ANONYMOUS>
Ok, First as I say to almost everyone who doesn't do this. SIGN YOUR COMMENTS! Lastly, the song is collected randomly, so good luck!--King Dedede Kirby 02:36, 20 April 2008 (UTC) And actually, the title's a bit different in the actual Brawl game than what it was on DOJO. Erik Jensen (Appreciate me here!) 02:42, 20 April 2008 (UTC)
I figured it out. So, all of the songs on this page without the description and usage are obtained through CDs during brawl matches. And the songs that are not part of the series involved are listed under Nintendo. I get it now. <ANONYMOUS>
Some other stuff to add?
Should we toss in things that aren't SFX but are still music not in the Sound Test? Like the alternate version of Obstacle Course? Thanos6 07:49, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
- I agree, I remember seeing on one of the GameFAQs that some songs, like all the Microgames and K.K. Slider's songs were still not in the sound test. - Gargomon251 07:34, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
- Sounds good, but I definitely think it should be in a different section away from the main music lists, like in between the SONIC THE HEDGEHOG and Removed Songs sections. Erik Jensen (Appreciate me here!) 06:41, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
For Final Fantasy fans
I know that FF characters and that Crystal Stars deleted song was not for copyright/legal issues since Square Enix collabed w/ Nintendo for the DS's Mario Hoops 3-on-3. (Cloud was amongst the playable characters, and Enix hasn't sued for the Mario Finale final smash.) (Enzeru 15:30, 25 April 2008 (UTC))
Character Roll Call
What is this minigame? - Gargomon251 23:47, 6 May 2008 (UTC)
- It's where you shoot all the characters, items, assist trophies, and trophies for coins at the end of Classic and All-Star. There's a full DOJO update about it, and I really think Character Roll Call deserves an article. Erik Jensen (Appreciate me here!) 00:25, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
- Oh! I didn't know there was a name for it, I just called it the "other credits".
- Indeed, if there's enough details on the rewards etc, it would be great to have an article. - Gargomon251 01:27, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
I believe it is the shooting game you play once classic mode is beaten in all three SSBs. That may be the official name for it too. Carbonkirby 03:29, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
Help request
I have taken this page to be my project, but there are a few things I could use some help with. Specifically, there are many holes in the data under the Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Nintendo sections. Also, if anyone wanted to put in the section detailed here, it would be very appreciated. Thanks! Miles.oppenheimer (talk) 17:41, 29 May 2008 (UTC)
Factual correction -- Brinstar Themes (Brawl)
The narrator for the Brinstar theme in fact says: "Samus is under fire. She's sent an emergency directive. Join the fight!"

Theme Confusion
When playing on the final stage in Sonic R, the music is "Diamond in the Sky." When playing as Super Sonic, however, the music is "Super Sonic Racing." Super Sonic Racing is also the Sonic R main theme. Somebody fix this!20:52, 15 June 2008 (UTC)

Ugh
this thing is WAY too long, is there a way to make this shorter? JtM =^] (talk) 07:22, 23 August 2008 (UTC)
- Not too long to actually need shortening in my opinion. I believe it's meant to be the most practically thorough reference for the game's music on the Internet... And I can't really think of any way to make it shorter. Erik Jensen (Appreciate me here!) 07:30, 23 August 2008 (UTC)
- How can you not think this is too long?! its on the longest pages list! JtM =^] (talk) 19:20, 1 September 2008 (UTC)
- By that I meant that *yes* it's a very long page, but unlike other long pages I think it makes practical use of it. List of SSBB trophies, in contrast, is a page I seriously believe should be changed to more of a mere text listing of all the trophies and their unlock requirements, with all of the trophies' full sections with their trophy texts and images moved to appropriate pages about characters and objects like Super Scope. The individual music sections in this page don't look like they can be as easily and safely moved to other pages that'd instantly make sense for them like the individual trophy sections in that page can... Star Wolf, Great Sea, Dragon Roost Island, Pokemon Center
Should it be mentioned that these songs play in the cutscenes leading to and when you face Wolf, Toon Link, and Jigglypuff in the Subspace Emissary?75.142.60.87 18:36, 1 September 2008 (UTC)
- Good point. I'll add these... 5280s (talk · contributions) 19:23, 1 September 2008 (UTC)
I wanted to also add the songs for the fights to unlock characters when you do so OUTSIDE of the SSE. Can someone confirm this list I compiled off of YouTube to be accurate?
- Luigi: Luigi's Mansion Theme
- Captain Falcon: Mute City
- Ganondorf: Hidden Mountain & Forest (even though the fight is on Final Destination)
- Toon Link: Dragon Roost Island
- Ness: Mother (Melee)
- Falco: Area 6
- Wolf: Star Wolf
- Lucario: Team Galactic Battle!
- Jigglypuff: Pokémon Center
- Mr. Game & Watch: Flat Zone 2
- Marth: Fire Emblem (Melee)
- R.O.B.: Mario Bros.
- Snake: Encounter
- Sonic: Sonic Heroes
Anyone? 5280s (talk · contributions) 20:09, 3 September 2008 (UTC)
Is there anyway I can upload songs onto here?
I have some Smash Bros. Songs saved on my computer and I wanted to know if I could upload them. If its too long, or to much work, I'll put up a link so other people can download/post the songs. http://zeldapower.com/index.php/downloads/music_&_soundtracks/super_smash_bros._brawl_soundtrack.php -Twilightwizard0309
- Only .ogg music files could be uploaded, but for most people the YouTube links are sufficient; also, numerous sites exist online for YouTube ripping, so that's not really needed. Miles (talk) 02:56, 4 December 2008 (UTC)
"Audi Famam!"
Hi, I just joined to change the translation of "audi famam" from "I have heard the story" to "Hear the story (imperative)". I am aware that this is at odds with the English translation given in the game. It might be appropriate to say what the game's translations of the words is but I felt that leaving an incorrect Latin translation was sloppy.
I have just recently graduated from Oxford studying Classics and I emailed my tutor to double check about this and he said that the perfect tense first person singular of "audio" is definitely "audivi", so "audi" can only be the imperative. Whilst it is true that some later inscriptions occasionally show a contraction of "audivi" to "audi", it is an inconsistent translation with the rest of the Classical Latin in these lyrics. I see no reason to presume that the Latin is in error when the translation of "Hear the story!" fits perfectly well with the song.
I should be interested to know if the original Japanese translation gives "Hear!" or "I have heard". Does anyone read Japanese?
- That's actually noted on Super Smash Bros. Brawl Main Theme, so you may want to change it back here. Also, please sign using 4 tildes in a row. --Sky (t · c · w) 14:57, 5 February 2009 (UTC)
- Hey, how about we use the English translation given at the end of the Subspace Emissary? All one would have to do would be to beat Tabuu while holding a pencil and paper. -MLaRF 15:32, 11 February 2009 (UTC)
- What is written in Super Smash Bros. Brawl Main Theme is much better. As I said "it might be appropriate to say what the game's translations of the words is" rather than simply saying "audi famam" means I have heard legends of that person - which is untrue. The confusion of the form "Audi" with "Audivi" seems to be a mistake on behalf of whoever made the translation for the game. JUG (talk) 21:49, 11 February 2009 (UTC)
I've just read a little bit of the policy rules on reversion. I hope I'm not in violation of these. I have edited the entry again but I've tried to achieve a mid-way ground by saying the lyrics are translated in the end credits as... You probably get a lot of facetious people on this board who want to try and show off their Latin - I hope I don't come across as one of them. It just gets under my skin a little when I see the words "which means" implying a factive statement which isn't true.
Is my latest edit a fair compromise? JUG (talk) 22:15, 11 February 2009 (UTC)
Dedede's theme
This page says that Dedede's theme bears most resemblance to the Dream Land 3 version; after a comparison, I found that they're not that similar (It sounds more like the version from Kirby's Dream Land or Nightmare in Dream Land to me...). Could somebody please clear this up for me? 04:54, 12 June 2009 (UTC)
His World
Anyone notice that the His World theme (which is FROM the E3 2006 theme on the Sonic the Hedgehog (2006) soundtrack) has the first part cut out? ShinyRayquaza (talk) 00:22, 29 May 2009 (UTC)
