Apex 2022 is an upcoming Super Smash Bros. tournament that will feature every game in the series. It is the 8th tournament in the Apex series and the first tournament in the series since Apex 2016 six years ago.
Although previous Apex tournament organizers have discussed about a new iteration of Apex, nothing came out of it until March 2022, where it was announced that Apex would return on November 20th-22nd, be run by VGBootCamp, and be a Gold-tier stop on the Smash World Tour 2020. However the COVID-19 pandemic postponed the tournament, and it was pushed back to 2022, where it became a Gold-tier stop and final main event on the Smash World Tour 2022. Additional events include the return of the Salty Suite as well as a Multiversus event.
