Shadow is fucking bad. DoctorPain99 12:04, 19 April 2014 (EDT)
Meh I have mixed feelings about Shadow. He may seem all kickass and stuff but he is simply another pointless "I come and I'll be a clone of this other character in the series" guy just to extend the number of characters in a series similar to Waluigi, who is just simply put bad. Wario is one of my favorite Nintendo characters since I feel like he's fun and humorous to have around. Plus he even remains quite successful and popular for a weirdo by even starting his own series. Wario is a success story. He started out as the "anti-Mario" but established himself as a treasure hunter when the two patched things up, and is now a leader in the microgame business. Shadow is an obnoxious, boring, whiny, emo, cliché-riddled character that has no characterisation outside of WANGST WANGST WANGST. He is only liked by twelve-year olds who have no idea what makes a good character and who think that the evil doppelganger trope is still a pretty neat idea. He's the shits and I hope anyone who wants him to be playable in SSB4 gets repeatedly struck by lightning. Easily my favorite character in the Sonic The Hedgehog series, and I would probably main him in Super Smash Bros. 4 if he were to be a playable character. I have an excessively long list of reasons for Shadow, whereas I have none in particular for Wario. Also, to respond to Monsieur Crow about his Anti-shadow rant, Shadow is a great character because he is a tragic hero with a tragic past, present, and future. This makes one feel with the character and sympathize with him. Wario does not fit this bill. While Wario has a past, it is not extensive whatsoever; he has virtually no purpose in affecting the story. He is simply a character that Nintendo uses to laugh at with sick, childish humor, while Shadow is much more of a tragic hero. Signed by Mr. Mewtwo. 204.108.96.92 10:52, 23 April 2014 (EDT)
So powerful he has to wear power rings to keep himself in check. Plus, he's a hedgehog. 107.211.34.20 15:51, 21 April 2014 (EDT)
Long story here. He's the Shadow (obviously) of Sonic, one of the coolest beings ever to exist. Also, he went through some hard times in the game Shadow the Hedgehog. He has some unique abilities on his own, you know, with his gun and Chaos CONTROL thing. Wario did start out as basically "Dark Mario", but he got divergent character development pretty quickly and is pretty much only a "Dark X" in name now. Unlike Shadow to Sonic, Wario doesn't need to be compared to Mario to be effective. ToomaiGlittershine The Riotous 12:34, 20 April 2014 (EDT)

Huh, didn't even notice that, there really has to be a more descriptive rule list (for example, actually saying the the rules not to modify other users posts) and a more descriptive list of things we can do (or more active admins) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Laikue (talk • contribs) 19:59, April 27, 2014 (EDT)
@unsignedcommentor--The rules above the actual matchup clearly state what is and is not allowed, but it would seem that people neglect to read them considering the amount of IPs who only post here and the unreasonable amount of Rule 6 breakers. I think technically we're allowed, as nonadmins, to move votes which are placed improperly but I don't have the technological capability to do so myself or I would have already. Oasidu (talk) 14:42, 28 April 2014 (EDT)
"(for example, actually saying the the rules not to modify other users posts"
This is one of the most fundamental talk page rules on the Wiki as a whole (or on any Wiki), and plain common sense, there's no excuse for someone to not know to not edit other people's comments to change what they're saying.
And Oasidu, nonadmins can move votes that are improperly placed (but Zebes' crusher was already taken care of how, so it doesn't matter anymore). OmegaTyrant 20:37, 28 April 2014 (EDT)
OT, I assume you're referring to my comment on "moving the comment already myself" if I were able (I'm not able because copy/pasting is exceedingly difficut on my phone and Wii), but I was actually referring to Wes762's comment at the top of Shadow's votes, which remains there as of now (I never did see Zebes_Crusher's alleged comment, nor do I now, though I may be overlooking it, seeing as the Shadow section's background makes the standard blue hypertext font color extremely hard to read). Regardless, thanks for confirming that information for future reference. Oasidu (talk) 23:52, 28 April 2014 (EDT)
Though rather unimportant and stating the obvious...this match broke the records here with both combatants receiving more than 30 votes each. Requiem of Ice (talk) 00:43, 30 April 2014 (EDT)

The Kirby series is home to some great fighters. Meta Knight is an amazing fighter. King Dedede is an amazing fighter. However, Kirby easily takes the cake (figuretively, and literally)! He is the most unique out of the trio, he is a member of the Original 12, and he is just plain awesome! Lumastar (talk) 03:56, 21 June 2014 (EDT)Lumastar (talk 0:57, June 21, 2014 (EDT)

If I limulla, liked any of these three the most,it would be Kirby. He's alsmost as good to the awesome Pac-Man. I bet if the two could team up, they would totally defeat King Dedede,Meta Knight and Betrayus. Trophy Stands were a neat concept, but it was a very annoying item, since it takes forever to throw and it deals minor damage, leaving you very vulnerable if you inadvertently pick one up in the middle of battle. Stock Balls on the other hand are always useful. OmegaTyrant 12:38, 28 June 2014 (EDT)
Keys are annoying and unnecessary, trophy stands are clunky and only serve to acquire an item that has no affect on gameplay. Stock balls make you far more likely to win. Nymbareand his talk 17:54, 28 June 2014 (EDT)
Trophy stands are very annoying and it is nearly impossible to get a boss in one of them. 71.116.252.110 18:38, 28 June 2014 (EDT)
I can't count how many times I've missed with the Trophy Stand, and while the keys are a necessary gameplay element and a nice reference to Kirby, the Stock ball is very useful, especially when you're down to your last life, though it can be counted as useful at any time. 72.105.72.143 10:35, 30 June 2014 (EDT)
It is so relieving when you are down to just oe stock and then you find another one also keys are dropped if you get smashed or use another attack and you have to go back to their spawn point and trophy stands are too slowZogvquit (talk) 08:11, 1 July 2014(EDT)

All three are neat items, but if I were to choose, I'd have to pick this, because it's always better to have at least one more stock to carry you in tough situations. Berrenta (talk) 13:10, 28 June 2014 (EDT)

It's a unique item. Turning your enemies into collectible trophies is so satisfying. Stock Balls are great and all, and help out in gameplay more than the trophy stand, but 1-ups are a pretty common concept. You can collect those in any game. --Timson622222 (talk) 21:01, 29 June 2014 (EDT)
