Revision as of 23:53, June 24, 2015 by Darth Nightmaricus (talk | contribs) (Added Fox's Japanese victory quotes.)

The following is a list of victory poses of characters in Super Smash Bros. Melee. In Melee, one can select which victory pose a character will use by holding the B, X or Y button as soon as the match ends.

Bowser

  • Steps forward, builds up a little, and roars.
  • Spins around in his shell and comes out laughing.
  • Takes two steps forward while swiping with his claws twice.

Captain Falcon

  • Does a spinning flying kick and comes down in a kneeling pose.
  • Kneels and thrusts his chest forward, shouting.
  • Crouches low, then spins upward with a roundhouse kick.

Donkey Kong

  • Does a backflip, flexes his biceps and roars.
  • Beats his chest and grunts.
  • Waves his hands in a fist over his head.

Dr. Mario

  • Holds out his stethoscope.
  • Throws two pills, dusts his hands off, and then pulls out the same pills he already threw while laughing triumphantly.
  • Does a short spin-jump and lands in a strong-man pose, shouting "Here we go!"

Falco

  • Dashes from the sky and poses on the ground.
  • Does a bunch of kicks and says "Mission Complete!"
  • Looks at the top left of the screen and says "Mission Complete!"

Fox

  • Looks at the top left of the screen and says "Mission Complete!"
  • Swirls gun into holster and says, "Mission Complete!".
  • Looks at both sides and says, "Mission Complete!"

In the Japanese versions of Melee, he has unique victory quotes rather than the generic "Mission Complete!"

  • "作成完了!"(Sakusei kanryō!) which can roughly translate to "Mission Complete!"
  • 作成資料。" (Sakusei shiryō.) perfectly translates to "Data Gathered."
  • これより感謝の。" (Kore yori konsha no.) roughly translates to "It was unforgiving."

In addition, if Fox has defeated Falco in a match, he also has one more unique quote:

  • "Don't worry about it, Falco."

These unique victory quotes did not make the transition to the American release of Melee.
