You can discuss this issue on the talk page or edit this page to improve it.
  • Master Core appears after a certain point during the fight with Master Hand and Crazy Hand; they'll apparently die at a non-zero HP, only to fuse together into Master Core.
  • Like Crazy Hand, Master Core is only encountered at high intensities. These intensities are above those required to fight Crazy Hand, and electing to fight both hands together is required for an encounter; choosing to solely fight Master Hand will not result in a Master Core fight even if the intensity is high enough.
    • Like the Giga Bowser fight in Melee, the player is able to tell whether or not they'll be eligible for the fight through the color of an element leading up to it. If the path leading to the battle against both hands is purple, the fight will proceed normally and Master Core will not appear. If it's black, the fight will be interrupted for the encounter with Master Core. A low enough intensity will result in the path to the two-hand battle not appearing at all, forcing the player to take the path to the battle against Master Hand by itself.
  • Master Core has more forms depending on the intensity, all made up of a fog of Shadow Bug-like particles. These particles will completely block its fighter display on the bottom screen, making it impossible to determine its health.
    • At what seems to be at 7.0 or above, it'll start as a giant humanoid creature that can lift up the entire stage and toss it back down, among other attacks.
    • Below 7.0 or after defeating the humanoid form, it'll turn into a scorpion-like entity whose abilities include slamming down one side of the stage like the Meta Ridley fight in SSE.
    • Once that form is defeated or if the fight starts on an even lower intensity, it'll transform into a group of swords that attack the player in tandem and vaguely resemble a hand while grouped.
    • Defeating the swords will transform it into a black clone of your character which you fight normally; it appears to work on stamina but may also be able to be defeated by ring-out. It is unknown if Master Core can start on this form.
    • Once the clone is defeated, the Master Core exposes itself as a large Smash Ball-like object and the fog both around it and on the bottom screen clears. This object won't attack and merely sits in the center of the stage. To end the fight, the player has to build up enough damage on it to knock it out of the arena; if an attack doesn't KO it, it will return harmlessly to the center - retaining its damage - for the player to attack it again.

It is currently unknown if defeating the Master Core starting from its highest-intensity form yield any rewards. Starting at the scorpion form or lower appears to yield nothing, even if the player fought the humanoid form during that Classic Mode session but had to continue at a lower intensity without it.
