In the past several months, we've received much much info about Smash 4 gameplay. One question I've been seeking for input for is how many stocks will a competitive SSB4 match have. The developers meant for the game speed to be between Melee (4) and Brawl (3). The problem here is that from my perspetive while the gameplay speed has improved, the pacing of 1v1 matches is pretty much the same as Brawl's, if not worse. (The preceding statement may or may not be biased since the only footage of ssb4 available is people who...suck at this game). This leads me to believe that the average match should have 2 or 3 stocks.

What do you guys think? Chilex (talk) 22:27, 28 August 2014 (EDT)

I think we should wait for the bloody game to be released before we form opinions in the first place.

And just how much do you think will change in the next two weeks/several months? Most definitely not much at all, especially gameplay-wise.

Invalid point. Whether or not more things change does not affect Crow's opinion that thoughts about gameplay and such should be completed after a game release. If this was not a clear indication that he wasn't just adding a post to make the forum slightly more interesting, as opposed to actually having a significant amount of interest in the forum topic at hand, then I don't know what to say to you. My reply was to address his generic argument about the game not being completed. I'm pretty well aware that the game isn't out yet, but the game being such a short time away locks a lot of what we see in the final release. I am just asking for speculation on how many stocks is ideal for a competitive SSB4 match. If you (and Crow) are going to hold off thoughts about this topic until the game is released, then don't bother posting. Chilex (talk) 12:20, 1 September 2014 (EDT)
At this point, it's just bumping your forum, rather than posting just to spite you. MegaTron1XDDecepticon.png 12:25, 1 September 2014 (EDT)
