Talk:List of modification software
From Talk:BrawlBox
According to the first post on this thread over at the brawl hacks site. It says that BlackJax96 has discontinued development and there's still other things to finish upon that program. It looks like there needs to be a replacement for that program so that someone can continue the development and get the other tasks finished such as shader previewing and others.--Brandondorf 19:00, 10 December 2013 (EST)

Can it edit files yet?
I don't use Open SA; Can an involved person confirm its current features and flaws? --Quilt (talk) 19:54, 27 August 2013 (EDT)
- I'm partially involved. One thing for sure is that Base Knockback and Knockback Growth are swapped, Asynchronous Timer is a one frame ahead, and the name itself is outdated. I forget the rest however. Yeah, it can edit, however, but, it's kind of complicated, and I really only use it for viewing hitbox flags or something of the sort. Conny 20:05, 27 August 2013 (EDT)
- Alrighty, I rewrote part of the article to reflect that Open SA can edit files. I am not sure what you mean that Base Knockback and Knockback Growth are swapped. I know what they are, just not how they are related to Open SA. If the name is outdated, then is Open Smash Attacks Version 3 not the latest version? --Quilt (talk) 21:19, 27 August 2013 (EDT)
- Oi, okay, and how Base Knockback and Knockback Growth are realted is because, in the subactions, they usally give a hex number (for example, 0x0 for Knockback Growth and 0x140064). These numbers then can be interpreted through hex to decimal conversion to give you the actual value of each. And, no, it's not because the version I'm using is outdated, it's just that the name they used for it is a bit off. Conny 21:46, 27 August 2013 (EDT)

Merge
- Support: It is so short, and the software will never expand so... Serpent King (talk) 19:39, 6 July 2015 (EDT)
Main problem: there's no valid title for such a merged page. Toomai Glittershine The Incomprehensible 22:13, 6 July 2015 (EDT)
- We could merge both pages with BrawlBox as they are both side projects —Preceding unsigned comment added by Serpent King (talk • contribs) 22:36, 6 July 2015
- Maybe make a "List of Brawl modification software" page? Nyargleblargle (Talk) 22:40, 6 July 2015 (EDT)
- I like it. (sorry about sig) Serpent King (talk) 23:26, 6 July 2015 (EDT)

Bump. I'm open to the idea of a Brawl modification page, but we should get more input first. I support a merge, but I'm not sure overall what would be the best way to do so. DarkFox01The Rainbow Roader 20:08, 28 July 2015 (EDT)
- Still has my support. Serpent King (talk) 23:24, 10 August 2015 (EDT)
I made a mock-up of a modification software page. Nyargleblargle (Talk) 08:06, 14 August 2015 (EDT)
- Hmm...It'll need some work (we cannot have every section sounding like the intro to a separate page) but I do like the concept. Serpent King (talk) 08:09, 14 August 2015 (EDT)
- It's mostly copy-pasted anyway, so that's partly why it's still a draft. Nyargleblargle (Talk) 08:11, 14 August 2015 (EDT)

Promotion to mainspace
For the record, unless there are any objections, I plan to move this page tomorrow. Nyargleblargle (Talk) 18:30, 29 August 2015 (EDT)
organizing by game
Should we organize this page by game like with the other page on file replacement? It would be more consistent
